Povetkin is innocent as everybody who knows what he's talking about knows. Somehow they want an American champion and Wilder is American, so they had to get rid of Povetkin. They found out they had a good excuse in the Meldonium case, a substance purely and only banned to annoy Russians and Eastern Europeans, it doesn't make you a better boxer at all. That's like saying a bottle of wiskey makes your blood flow better, so it makes you a better boxer! Not caring about all the side effects as well as the fact you'll stop bleeding a lot harder once you bleed.
In the second case they faked a result, while independent governments claimed him to be innocent, testing the same sample. So it's obvious that Povetkin is the real WBC champion and Wilder is just a fake one.
Povetkin returns July 1 in Moscow
Re: Povetkin returns July 1 in Moscow
And along comes asdfjkl to prove my point. It's like religion: You have Catholics and Protestants, Shias and Sunnis, each convinced theirs is the only true way and everyone else is an idiot. Do they stop to consider someone else might be right or maybe that religion is purely a manifestation of man's need to believe in something, and is all fabricated bullshit? Does the Pope sh*t in the woods?
As for whether it occurs to them that their beliefs are largely a matter of geography, and that had they been born in the Japanese islands they would almost certainly believe in Buddhism or possibly, Shinto ... not a firkin chance.
Now if you ask me to bet whether the next card from a properly shuffled pack will be a picture card or not, I'd be willing to bet heavily that it wouldn't be (unless the odds were adjusted for probability) but if the bet was red card or black then my money stays in my pocket.
Those of you who say "Don't sit on the fence, pick red or black and back your choice with a huge stack of chips" I don't see a man of conviction with large cojones, I see a fool.
So do me the courtesy of allowing me my indecision when I am not swayed by the evidence on offer. Once I do form an opinion I will defend it until its proven to be wrong or until I'm persuaded that my opinion is likely to have been, or has become, the wrong choice.

Re: Povetkin returns July 1 in Moscow
If you just follow the facts you'll easely realise what's true and what isn't.
Wilder never wanted to fight Povetkin before and had all kind of excuses, this while Povetkin tried everything he could to make an agreement to get a fight with Povetkin. Then, all of a sudden Wilder wanted to fight anyway, and even saying he wanted to fight in Russia, where he before said all kind of bullshit things like "it's to cold there" while it's colder in Wilder his city. He didn't trust the Russians, despite Russians are usually getting screwed themself in Russia. This was a surprising move by Wilder and nobody realised what happened that changed his mind, till all of a sudden he had an excuse to avoid the fight, an excuse he found months before the fight, but only spoke about a couple of days before the fight was supposed to happen.
It was his brilliant excuse to avoid the fight from happening.
As we all know Wilder would have never had a chance in the boxing ring, he would probably go down in a similar fashion as Mike Perez.
Wilder did everything to cancel the fight completely.
Immedietly Povetkin his promotor said he would have to fight anyway as soon as the Americans were finally just as educated as the rest of the world already was for ages. This would be when all facts are known, he, like we all, knew that Povetkin was 100% innocent from any wrong doing from start till finish. The WBC and Wilder both wanted to get rid of Povetkin, once again an innocent men has to suffer for America their wishes.
So what did they do? They gave him another mandatory, a mandatory even Wilder said from he wasn't as good as Duhaupas for example. The mandatory showed up, completely out of shape and didn't seem to be expecting a fight and he turned out to be right, because the Americans claim Povetkin used some illegal substance again. Everybody knew this was a lie, and Povetkin even proved it by letting the same sample test by an independant agency. On top of that, the Americans claimed that Povetkin took an American substance, a substance that's illegal in Europe and only availeble in America. Next to that, the substance was traced in a sample from a month before the fight, a moment which would lead into only make him a weaker person during the actual fight. On top of all that, it was shown in such a low amount, that it wouldn't have any serious effect anyway, they spoke about less then a billionth of a gram on a 220 pound boxer.
It's also remarkeble that the US wasn't planning to show the fight on TV, most likely because they knew beforehand the fight would never happen.
Povetkin and his team fully cooperated from start till end, while the Americans did everything they could to avoid the fight from start till end and only used the American media to blackmail Povetkin in every way they could.
It's sad to see how many people actually believe Povetkin did something wrong. He's still an innocent men, like he allways has been. He's simply one of the best boxers in the world, unlike Deontay Wilder.

Re: Povetkin returns July 1 in Moscow
The only facts are.....twice tested positive.
Re: Povetkin returns July 1 in Moscow
True enough but it's perhaps as well you aren't a homicide detective: "The press and the mayor's office are demanding to know if it was murder. What can we tell them Inspector Lamb"?
"The only facts are ... he's dead"
I'm not entirely convinced by Asdfjkl's conspiracy theory, but I have to admit the whole saga smells a lot like old fish to me.
It's probably just as well I'm not either ... "Well it looks suspicious but who TF knows?"

It could be Flores

Povetkin against the guy who couldn't beat Shumenov joke and was destroyed by Bellew. It would be a shame.

Well there's a mighty challenge for Sacha ... B J Flores. I can't ever see the guy's name without having a totally inappropriate snigger every time. It's pathetic for a man of my years, WTF is wrong with me?
Alright, alright, stop that , it was a rhetorical question.
