Round-By-Round - Tommy Langford vs. Avtandil Khurtsidze - April 22nd 2017

Khurtsidze KO's Langford in 5 with a lightening quick left hook, it was always a big possibility going in that Khurtsidze would walk him down, Langford had spells of decent boxing, shooting out the jab and following it up with the right hand, they would just bounce off but they were point scoring but then Khurtsidze would tag him with a much harder shot, I had it even after 4 but I just had a feeling Khurtsidze was gonna tag Langford, he leaves his hands far too low when he moves out of range and kept getting clipped, great shot to finish things though, I'm glad the ref never allowed Langford to continue his legs were gone

I'm not sure Dubois' legs didn't dip when he got clipped there...hard to believe with a cruiser in there...optical illusion maybe

I also thought he may've been slightly buckled, but my stream got choppy at just about the same moment, so I wasn't sure. I'll have to go back and check that...

I watched it in HD. Dubois definitely reacted (wobbled) to the shot. Sign of a weak chin? Maybe.

Definitely a question mark there...well at HW we'll find out soon enough.

I do like Khurtsidze. Hes fun to watch. I wouldn't mind W@rren keeping him around after the Saunders match and facing him off against some of our domestic MWs...

Tbh Langford never looked better than British title level to me, this result was absolutely no upset. Seems a very nice guy though.

Too right. Langford was marked up and rocked after 90 seconds, the first shot he shipped after about 20 seconds had him in big trouble.

Khurtsidze is fun to watch and I was rooting for him last night but I think BJS beats him with the jab alone. Saunders surely knows he couldn't cut any corners against this guy and if it was Khurtsidze in the ring when Saunders last fought he'd be the ex champion. I think he'll get his act together under Booth though and beat him semi comfortably. Again, I'll be rooting for the Georgian though when they fight

Saunders looked pretty overweight last night at the Press Conf - eventually putting on 3-4 stone and taking it off will take its toll.

Booth might improve him but until he gets discipline outside and looks after himself which is unlikely he'll get exposed shortly as Akavov in Paisley wasn't far away from doing it.

Decent show that, Woodstock looks like he could be a future star, fun to watch, and good personality looks to have some serious firepower too, some nice combination in there.

Have to say, since moving to BT sport, the quality of production has definitely gone up. Guess there's quite a bit more money to throw at the shows now.

If I remember correctly, it was a temple shot. He wasn't in any trouble, but it did look like his body didn't like it. The talk about him reaching the highest is unbelievably premature. He needs to concentrate on his immediate future.
