Gabe Rosado vs. Martin Murray RBR

Post by verlichte »

Gabriel Rosado physically looks tiny compared to Martin Murray in what seems to be a very cautious first round.

A tricky first round to score, but I favour Murray by the smallest of margins.

Rosado looks fairly slick but he's getting outworked by the bigger and heavier-handed Murray.

Role reversal in the third, with Murray employing lateral movement and Rosado stalking, but this very close round goes to the Brit, because his punches seem to have greater effect.

Rosado is letting his hands go but very few are hitting the target.

The American steals the round though, because Murray didn't throw any meaningful punches.

Murray might have stamina issues, as we've seen in some of his recent bouts, because he's getting outworked by the extremely wasteful Rosado.

Murray picked up the pace and stole a close round.

EO, I don't know WTF you are watching. I watched just round 3, and Rosado clearly won it.

The Brit has regained the winning momentum as Rosado's punch output dips.

Rosado seems to be running out of ideas and he's also getting countered whenever he throws his lunging haymakers.

Sky Sports and Tony Bellew awarded the round to Murray

Rosado is throwing punches but they're ineffective.

In the meanwhile, Khurt stopped Langford in 5.

This fight is a good argument for weight divisions, because the smaller man is less effective than the bigger man, mainly due to the size difference.

Murray got outworked by Rosado in the eleventh, with the American needing a KO to avoid certain defeat.

A brave attempt by Rosado, but unfortunately for him, he may have won the final round but loses the fight by a comfortable margin.

114-114, 119-109 & 116-112 to Murray.

Only the 116-112 scorecard looks reasonable to me.

119-109 is an absolute disaster disgrace!

UK broadcasts ring out like a death in the family when one of their own loses by KO.

The commentary sucked...they acted like Langford was putting on some dominant boxing display (he wasnt at all and you could see the ending coming), then called it an upset when Khurt won (he was the favourite).

Always does. I'll never watch another UK boxing event.

You were saying that calling for neutral judges was unreasonable ...

In terms of the scoring of the Murray-Rosado bout, the two judges that submitted poor scorecards were both from Krakow, Poland.

In regards to neutral judges as a general concept, I actually endorse it.

What I am against is fighters like Sergey Kovalev and promoters like Main Events bîtchîng and moaning about so-called American bias and corruption that allegedly caused an "unfair" loss, despite both HBO partners using them and approving of them for nearly all of their bouts that take place on US soil.

You can't have it both ways! :TU:

That's surprising to me, Murray is a big middleweight, but Rosado is hardly small and looked the bigger man against GGG, came in at 175lb on fight night against Quillin.

Murray was slightly taller, but a lot stockier. The disparity in physical size was very obvious.
