Porter was the better fighter, he outgunned Berto.. Not impressed at all with how Porter got Berto to that point. That was some dirty boxing, Porter the modern day Henry Armstrong.

Some considering Ward a #1 p4p, so what is wrong with other boxers doing the same thing ?

Everything's wrong with it to this extent imo. It's not in the spirit of boxing, it rough housing to the max. It all depends on the ref not the rules. U of everybody knows having Ward p4p 1 is a joke.
For me, he is not in top 7.

Demonstrates once again what an utter cherry pick was Floyd's choice for his "last" fight.

Porter doesn't shilt nor does he need a but hole. He uses so much energy and potential he creates no waste.

How many opponents has Gennady Golovkin faced since the beginning of 2010 that were more accomplished than Andre Berto?

Impressive win by Charlo. Hopefully we will get to see him vs Andrade or another top guy soon.

Good win for Porter. I think he made Berto look worse than he is by his ugly style. To me Porter is hard to watch. More like a combination of football, wrestling, MMA, and boxing. Its hard for anyone to look good against him. Right now I would say the only two that could beat him are Thurman and Spence. Brook beat him once, but doubt if he would again, imo, since Porter fights much better inside. Few have the power to keep him off of you. Too many headbutts and wrestling...ugly ugly fight.

While not exactly pretty, Porter is one of the few fighters today who knows how to keep from getting held. If one guy tries to grab as Berto was doing you have every right to fight your way out of the clinch. Would you rather have simply watched half of every round simply being a grab and dance contest?

I favoured porter to win but getting the stoppage is a nice result for him.

To me he's number 3 behind brook and Thurman and absolutely deserves a rematch with either. Especially porter

EO, stop your anti-Golovkin trolling. Berto is shot. His former accomplishments have nothing to do with his current condition. Provodnikov stopped Castillo who was very accomplished including defeating Mayweather. Do you highly value that win by Provo?

Berto wasn't completely shot when he faced Floyd Mayweather Jr. For sure, he wasn't the ideal opponent for Money May's final bout, but he was nowhere near as poor as some of the guys that Golovkin has made title defences against.

And for the record, I'm not a GGG-hater or a troll. The only thing I'm trying to do is to undermine your highly-exaggerated derogatory claims through the use of facts and logic to illustrate a more realistic portrayal of reality.

Simply put: what's deemed as a poor "cherry pick" opponent for Floyd Mayweather Jr, is usually higher calibre than the majority of GGG's title challengers.

It got a laugh, but I see both sides. Porter did remind me of the Armstrong clips I've watched.

Porter is so relentless.

He's crude & one dimensional at times, but he doesn't let up at all.

He must be every WW's nightmare.

Fighers like him usually burn out pretty quickly, but he still looks like a top fighter.

Agreed.

Porter is starting to cut up around the eyes as well. Usually that doesn't bode well when a fighter gets older.

The only reason Berto is tying up is because of Porter's bull rush style. If it was a regular boxing match, it would be a whole different ballgame. Porter is not a great boxer. He excels with bull rushing and wrestling his opponents, along with the headbutts that come with it. Porter initiated the clinches, not Berto. Watch the fight again, and count how many times Berto came forward and initiated a clinch.
