Round-By-Round - Joseph Parker (c) vs. Hughie Fury - September 23rd 2017
Re: Joseph Parker vs. Hughie Fury - POSTPONED
The Fury's are a joke. People will just stop dealing with them and it will become very hard for them to get any fights.

Fury's becoming like the Eubank's, too unprofessional to cope with getting undeserved world title oppurtunities

I thought bullshit (drug ban) but they're saying it's a lower back injury https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/sport/o ... ack-injury
Re: Joseph Parker vs. Hughie Fury - POSTPONED
I found deca wonderful for the joints, maybe he should try that, oh yeah....
Re: Joseph Parker vs. Hughie Fury - POSTPONED
Back injury bollocks.
Joseph Parker beat Takam while suffering a sore back.
Doing stretching exercises between rounds.
But Joseph Parker is a fighting man.

Parker seems a top professional when he talks he does not deserve this.BillW wrote:Back injury bollocks.

Back injury hahahaa
Two days ago they were complaining about travel arrangements.
Like when Tyson fury pulled out of the Wlad rematch with an ankle injury EXACTLY a day after UKAD officially charged him. Then he instantly goes the lash in France jumping up and down.
Until the UKAD case is resolved no one should assume either Fury is fighting regardless.
All of the things they said about Haye taking a year off Tysons career now they have taken 1 years from Wladimirs and 6 months off Joseph Parkers career.

Same kind of back injury that can't be diagnosed that gets coppers and firemen a nice early retirement

Looking like a right bunch of clowns right now.
Re: Joseph Parker vs. Hughie Fury - May 6th 2017
Not a bad post. I appreciate fights get cancelled and postponed, for whatever reason, but this is a list of fights that have not happened SINCE his last fight. Let us not forget Andy Ruiz is on that list also (granted - you could argue Ruiz cancelled for a world title fight with Parker).tobyh5 wrote:Shite post tbh mate. Name any fighter and I am sure there will be a stream of fights that never happened which could of or were mooted. That's life. I am sure that if you could come up with the name of someone renowned for never pulling out of fight and fighting all comers, I could come up with a few fights that were discussed but never happened.Glass Joe wrote:so far in hughie career the following hasn't happened
2 title fights with Wilder
Title fight with AJ
British title fight with AJ
Eliminator with Miller
Fight with Whyte
Parker
i knew the parker fight wouldn't happen. i heard they tried to get the fight over here on itv but wasn't enough time and money.
This is a pull out and that is what is a pain in the arse.
That being said, it can't be much fun being a Fury fan at the moment.
Re: Joseph Parker vs. Hughie Fury - May 6th 2017
I don't think the signs are overly positive. You may well want this fight to happen, as we all did, but this is done. Even if the Fury's did turn around and want to make this fight happen, I'm not sure Duco Sports would be willing to entertain the prospect. It's very disappointing.wesshaw1985 wrote:Paco Valcárcel, Esq. using the words "it seems" in 2 separate tweets.
That isn't definitive to me.
Maybe they've missed a meeting, contract signing or something and Parker and his team are getting edgey and jumping the gun.
Until a member of Furys team comes out and confirms its off then I'm staying optimistic...
Re: Joseph Parker vs. Hughie Fury - POSTPONED
I feel very sorry for anyone that organised and paid for transport over to NZ. As far as I am aware, the Fury's have a pretty dedicated and loyal following. How many made the leap and was going to be out there?
Re: Joseph Parker vs. Hughie Fury - POSTPONED
Sickner for anyone who was planning that 24hr flight, do anyone know the reason yet?

Apparently Hughie overextended his credibility. Caused permanent damage.Oiky wrote:Sickner for anyone who was planning that 24hr flight, do anyone know the reason yet?

I'm guessing nil.Rob3_142 wrote:I feel very sorry for anyone that organised and paid for transport over to NZ. As far as I am aware, the Fury's have a pretty dedicated and loyal following. How many made the leap and was going to be out there?
Re: Joseph Parker vs. Hughie Fury - POSTPONED
They may have a loyal following but the size of that following is tiny. I honestly reckon that outside people within team Fury and family members/friends nobody would be going.Rob3_142 wrote:I feel very sorry for anyone that organised and paid for transport over to NZ. I think NZ would have put anyone off. Tyson had a few thousand in Düsseldorf, there were a few more booked on the original date.dirk2686 wrote:They may have a loyal following but the size of that following is tiny. Unless it was going to double as a holiday. Lot of interesting flora and fauna in NZ etc.mickey1975 wrote:I think NZ would have put anyone off. The irony is that the Fury hardcore, at least those who post on here, despise Joshua for being a fake paper champion entrenched in celebrity culture, but are now very vocal fans of a family who literally only post on social media or give interviews, and never, ever fight.Rob3_142 wrote:I feel very sorry for anyone that organised and paid for transport over to NZ. I really hope AJ wins against Wlad and then we can just get on with him and Parker and Wilder and Ortiz and all the others and aren't yapping and moaning all the time and actually get in the ring. As much as I dislike a lot of what Hearn does and think AJ has been built excruciatingly safely, I'm extremely bored of the Fury cult and only want to hear from them now when they actually get in the ring.

I get that people who couldn't tell you the difference between Luis Ortiz and Victor Ortiz waxing lyrical about Joshua are annoying. But there's plenty of people out there who follow the sport very closely who think he's the best heavyweight around at the minute.mickey1975 wrote:Nobody despises Joshua. This place is full of people who can't post enough about how much they hate the humble guy schtick but seem fine with a joke outfit like Team Fury.

Given that Peter was moaning a few days ago about air tickets, did anybody (including Hughie) actually have a ticket?dirk2686 wrote:They may have a loyal following but the size of that following is tiny.
