Ive just watched a fight on another group Schumacher v Tony wilson, then went to look at Schumachers record on Boxrec.

According to Boxrec Brian died in 84. But is this true as ive read he was in prison for murder, but I cannot find any media info regarding this.

Im not really sure whats the truth to be honest.

Mimmy are you high mate? That link to his record has him still boxing six years after you say boxrec says he was dead and gives his DOD as 2013.

Little boring trivia is that WIlson is cousins with a British bodybuilding champion called Courtney Smith, a good mate of mine. Smithy was telling me about how his aunt got in the ring and started belting one of his opponents with a shoe. Loved him telling me that as a famous story from when I was a kid

That post was in 2014 so 3 years ago and his death isnt correct but its still not been corrected even though it was highlighted in 2014.

I am brian's girlfriend and I can assure everyone he has not died... The brian schumacher who died on the 24TH APRIL 2013 is infact brians father..

There's an obituary in the Liverpool Echo for a Brian Schumacher and one of the messages left is 'love you Pops' signed John and Brian. So maybe it was Brian Schumacher Senior who died, not the boxer. Unless of course the boxer also had a son named Brian !!!

I think that because there's little printed in the boxing press about it that the real Brian is still alive.

Schumacher had nowt to do with the mum incident. You are correct it was McCarthy who took thr stilletto.

I still cant find why Schumacher is supposed to be in prison though. Strange no newspaper articles.

I am sure he beat a comedian to death at a club, remember it being discussed back in the mid 2000's on here. Though 12 years has led to the circumstances becoming fuzzy.

I read on another forum that he was serving 15 years so he may still be in prison. Someone else posted that he killed his brother in law after hitting him, again all from the internet so might not be true or accurate.

Schumacher could punch. He went to the Olympics as I remember - 1984 and I think British captain, although he had a tough draw and lost to Virgil Hill in his first bout. His chin let him down as a pro, although he did beat a young Johnny Nelson on points.
