This fight has to happen if nothing else because the build up would be hilarious.

Well I for one am tremendously excited by this
Re: Tyson Fury tweets at Wilder
The Ring Magazine belt used to be prestigious. I would rather have the WBC belt.
Re: Tyson Fury tweets at Wilder
The Ring belt is the best, then WBC, IBF, WBO with WBA (which should be the best of the alphabets and is the original) being the current worst.RScarf1 wrote:The Ring Magazine belt used to be prestigious. I would rather have the WBC belt.

So you'd rather be Deontay Wilder in this situation than the man who beat the man? Whatever you think of either fighter Tyson Fury went to the champs back yard and beat him, nothing Wilder has done comes near to that. His title is worthless.
Re: Tyson Fury tweets at Wilder
I definitely favor the Ring belt over the WBC belt. I also agree that Fury - Wilder would produce some amusing build-up. But I still stress that what happens in a boxing ring is more a boxing fan's business than what happens on social media.
Re: Tyson Fury tweets at Wilder
The ring is clearly the belt
As for the alphabets, they all have there weaknesses. I like wbc and wba out of tradition but they seem as bad as any of them tbh

The Ring still is prestigious
This would be a very frustrating night for Wilder
Fury would UD him comfortably

Check out the WBC top fifteen HW rankings; if you send them an email with your name they'll probably add you to them. Chances are you're not that far off from most of Wilder's previous competition anywayRScarf1 wrote:The Ring Magazine belt used to be prestigious. I would rather have the WBC belt.

Fury is nothing more than The King of Blow(hard) Mountain until further notice.

Fury can hardly breathe. He's not going to get in shape before the year is out.
No chance he's back this year unless it is late and against a journeyman![[icon_e_sad.gif] :verysad:](./images/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif)

Why would anyone want to be Tyson Fury right now? Nothing is more worthless than the Ring belt.TheDarkDestroyer wrote:Really?RScarf1 wrote:The Ring Magazine belt used to be prestigious. I would rather have the WBC belt.

Can't really see what you have based that on to be honest but fair enoughSaadOffTheDeck wrote:Wilder by early KO.Oiky wrote:The Ring still is prestigious

Wilders in exciting fights, but thats about it
Terrible footwork, bad fundamentals in general actually, theres quite a few areas where Wilder is lacking
He has a punchers chance, but doesn't everybody?
Re: Tyson Fury tweets at Wilder
I clearly didn't mean in career terms. Obviously I meant in terms of titles. Deontay Wilder clearly holds a meaningless title.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Why would anyone want to be Tyson Fury right now? Re: Tyson Fury tweets at Wilder
I wouldn't argue that, Fury holds no titles at the moment. The ring belt may as well be something you buy at Toys r us. He was THE champ, he'll have that for marketing if he ever comes back, but tweets of a junk belt when you're suspended and over 300 pounds is hardly something that should make Wilder envious.TheDarkDestroyer wrote:I clearly didn't mean in career terms. Based on Fury being easy to hit and presumably declined from this self destructive path. He does have good feet for his size so I'm sure Wilder would have several clumsy moments like he always does. Once he clips Tyson he'll go down.Oiky wrote:Can't really see what you have based that on to be honest but fair enoughSaadOffTheDeck wrote:Wilder by early KO.Oiky wrote:The Ring still is prestigious

Fury is only current champion if you count Ring Magazine's BS belt.

Re: Tyson Fury tweets at Wilder
I believe Wilder would KO Fury. He's a big guy who actually throws hard punches albeit in a clumsy manner. That should be enough to take care of Fury.
Re: Tyson Fury tweets at Wilder
Tyson Fury has been inactive for 1 and a half years.
Another half a year of inactivity and everyone including the ring, shouldn't consider him a lineal champion anymore.

I agree. If Fury gets in shape, I hope the WBC gives him a title shot.Riddick Blowe wrote:I believe Wilder would KO Fury. He's a big guy who actually throws hard punches albeit in a clumsy manner. That should be enough to take care of Fury.
Re: Tyson Fury tweets at Wilder
Doubt Fury will be competiting at that level anytime soon, so I hope Wilder at least fights someone else who is good.
Isn't the Chisora-Helenius winner going to be Wilder's mandatory? Chisora has an 'always falls short' reputation and was totally outclassed by Fury in the rematch, but he'd very arguably still be the top opponent Wilder's faced in 9 years and nearly 40 fights.
