Anthony Joshua vs. Wladimir Klitschko: Details and Ring Walk info..

Post by Ruthless-RKO »

When is the big fight?

Anthony Joshua will face Wladimir Klitschko for the IBF Heavyweight championship of the world on Saturday night. The bill starts at 6pm but the fighters are expected in the ring at around 10pm.

Who is on the undercard?

It's all about the main event.

Scott Quigg, boxing for only the second time at featherweight against Viorel Simion and Luke Campbell facing Darleys Perez in an eliminator for the No.1 position in the WBA are decent scraps, and Katie Taylor will fight German Nina Meinke as she looks to take her professional record to 5-0.

Olympians Lawrence Okolie, Josh Kelly and Joe Cordina will also get a chance on the undercard, but it's not a stacked bill.

All interest is on the big one.

Where is it?

The home of football, Wembley Stadium, where the fight will becomes the just the second boxing event to be staged at the national football stadium. Carl Froch knocking out George Groves in the pair's rematch in May 2014 was the first.

What TV channel will it be on?

Sky Sports Box Office will host the fight - at an eye-watering £19.95.

So can I still buy tickets?

The blockbusterclash has broken box office records with over 80,000 tickets sold. You can still buy tickets on StubHub but at £130 for two together in the Upper Tiers you're better sticking with the TV coverage.

What do the bookies say?

Joshua is a heavy favourite at 4/11, with Klitschko tipped at 9/4 to turn back time.

Any other local interest for us?

David Haye and Tony Bellew will be reunited at ringside as part of the Sky Sports Box Office team on Saturday.

Adam Smith, head of Sky Sports Boxing said: "After the announcement that charismatic WBC Heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder will be part of our ringside team for the huge Wembley showdown between Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko, we are delighted to add two more of boxing's biggest names to the party.

I hope so too.. It does seem likely tbh.

3 four rounders?

1 ten rounder?

Lets hope the 10 rounders start around 8.. give them an hour nd half.. Quigg should win by stoppage.

No fights should over run if that's the case.

Joshua and Klit, have a long intro before entering the ring, announcements? two national anthems? I say opening bell around... 10:30-45

I think it relates to the 'event' rather than anyone being on the premises!

When is the first bell?

The first bell will ring no later than 10.05pm.

Boxing events tend to run longer than expected, but organisers are under a strict curfew of 11pm from the local council at Wembley.

Hearn has reiterated on countless times on his Twitter that the opening bell will be no later than 10:01pm. This means we gotta be looking at fighters coming out no later than 9:40pm.

Isn't it also for the WBA super and IBO regular straps?

No, but I believe the WBA super duper belt may be at stake, as well as the IBO extra large size belt too.

10.00pm should be the standard time for a main event bout over here. To be fair to Matchroom, they generally don't often go too far past that time.

If it were a Warren card I wouldn't be holding my breath

Warren has 12 fights in one card, starting from 5pm..

Tbh, Matchroom do go over, just as a fight finishes and post fight starts, they hardly have time.. I enjoy the post fights so I don't like when they're out of time..

Glad to see they're going to be strict on the start time for the main event.

10pm is perfect for a main event
