Odds -

Campbell = 2/9
Perez = 43/10

is Perez worth a couple of quid?

I read that Linares and his manager will be there for the Campbell fight. I take it that'll be next for Campbell if he takes care of Perez.

Campbell on points for me

Not sure I'd be overly worried either way if I were Linares

Looked like Perez weighed in at 136.5, they didn't announce his weight however. If he strips off the extra lb, it could play into Capmbell's hands handsomely.

Perez 1lb 3oz over not sure he gets it off, also if he don't it cant be an eliminator surely can it?

I suspect it would be only an eliminator for Campbell, as per the standard for title fights. Would be harsh to punish Campbell for Perez not making weight in my opinion.

Eliminator for the guy who made weight, not for the other guy, Kevin Mitchell had a similar situation where he missed the ibf second weight

According to Dan Rafael, he didn't try to lose it.

He looked rough enough as it was so can't say I'm surprised to be honest, thanks for the update though

I would imagine so.
Its just a fight to get Campbell a win before a potential Linares clash...

Good boxer Campbell and from Hull I believe, spent time in Hull. Not interested in him against Linares that fight doesn't excite me. Perez to spoil maybe?

Why isn't Campbell rematching Mendy

Hearn should have made the Cardle fight and refused to work with Cardle when Joe Gallagher Inevitably turned it down

Luke Campbell wanted that fight to make history for Hull. Would have been perfect for this card. Instead Cardle is having a soft. Touch to win the belt outright what an embarrassment

This fight is simply pure brown envelope stuff from Hearn it's not even disguised. Get a guy who hasn't made the weight in a while ( and obviously can't) shoved into rankings at number 1 for an easy mandatory for Campbell.

What a load of crap, this means then Campbell is guaranteed for an bigger purse v Linares than as a voluntary. So when Campbell inevitably loses he has got decent money then can say "Oh I lost to the number 1 Im world level"
