Think Klitschko just old-mans him out of it.
People are putting a lot of faith in Fury`s win but he did it by moving an awful lot and it still wasn`t easy for him,and AJ doesn't even move his head.
Klitschko has seen many Joshua`s over the years and doesn`t seem at all phased by another one.
I`ve gone for Kiltschko in the latter half of the fight.

I am going for Klitschko demolition by Joshua. I expect KO but dont know when. Possibly in the first half.

This is a man who was afraid to take chances against seriously awful opponents - but now he's going to pick apart Anthony Joshua? I'm not hypnotised by the Sky/Hearn hype, but it's obvious Joshua in terms of attitude, fitness and power is leagues above Tony Thompson, Sam Peter, Ruslan Chagaev, and rest of Klitschko's fatty hordes. He was petrified of a Tyson Fury counter, as he was Ibragimov and Haye, but he's going to remain calm and composed with Joshua's fists cocked and ready to fly? It would be very odd for a man to alter his MO this late in his career.

I'm sure his plan is to brilliantly pick apart and punish Joshua, but at 41 versus a man his own size he won't be so evasive and I see him being put to sleep before he can execute any strategy. The number of power shots he throws might be very few.
I'm not as down on the K brothers as Tuan...but I agree completely with this view of how the fight goes...and why it goes that way...

At least there's something tangible in Klitchko's resume. Wlad is a skilled and seasoned operator who rarely gets hit and picks KO countershots when his opponent gives him the opening.

I'm not impressed by Joshua at all beyond his power. He's static, doesn't move his head and leaves himself wide open with alot of his hooks/uppers.

I won't be overly surprised if AJ gets some shots home and takes out the chinny brother, but his inexperience and boxing flaws make him an underdog for me. Klitchko to hurt him early and finish the job in 6.

Joshua by KO...

he is the closet thing to a Mike Tyson in the S-HW division
he's young, strong and determined
he is lethal and dangerous

lil Klit has always been the superior boxer,
but he has equally always shown vulnerability and over caution... and his chin can be checked.
his age is now pushing Hang em Up.

AJ too has shown a little bit of apprehension and that could cost him, but I don't know if Klitschko will bring that out without a few seriously powerful bangs that he might not have, so IF he surprises AJ a little, then a BHop type spoiler victory could be his, but I don't think he will spook AJ.

on the other hand IF AJ (as I expect him too), takes a strong fast lead and demonstrates his power early I think Wladimir will panic and go into an uncontrolled clutching, running and clutching scramble and then he will get soon sparked.

AJ by KO.

Sounds like a great fight... Klit surprising everyone in the way he boxed moved and controlled.

Could lil klit have lasted the round?

well down AJ.

Overall 38 of us predicted a Jishua victory.
48 predicted a Klitchsko victory.

It's not often that the BoxRec members call it wrong.

Well done to those that called it ,

Bet very few had the stoppage that late in the fight .

Yeah, changed my mind to Klitschko inside 6 this week and voted in this accordingly. Thought I had it absolutely on when he dropped him he looked finished.

I had £50 on Klit to KO AJ between rounds 7-12 and I got to be honest, going into round 7 I really thought I was home and dry

A great fight, all credit to AJ, I thought he was toast

Wlad finally proved his chin ain't bad, it really takes a helacious shot to finish him, as we saw.
And young AJ passed the gut check with flying colours, and the chin check.

And fair play, not many heavyweight champions get up from such a heavy knock down to win like that, even greats like Tyson and Lewis never managed that.

Great for the fans, but maybe not so great matchmaking from Eddie. Always looked a huge ask for AJ, knocking out journeyman then stepping up to a massive test like Wlad represented. Only Josh's huge heart prevented a devastating defeat last night.

He is a battle hardened true champion now
