I don't think the fast start is a bad idea (its risky mind but) Quigg is the youger fitter stronger man, and simion isn't a big puncher (supposedly). Why not go all action and try and get the entertainment value to boost your career. Even if he ships some he can get behind the jab later in the fight.

AJ "these fights always live up to expectations"

Is Joshua more of a casual fan than his fanbase?

Quigg genuinely looks worse here than he did under Gallagher. Looked like his legs buckled there aswell.

I mentioned in the short fighter thread that Quigg bullshits his height.

I think they've deliberately adopted these tactics. Simian is old and not a massive puncher he will buckle.

That or Quigg walks onto something (despite Simion not being a puncher) and gets knocked out.

He's probably going to take over as this progresses but I can't help think he could have taken his time and got the win with a lot less damage

Out there to leave an impression and make a statement, not the most sensible idea but hey it's been fun!

True but I think Quigg is trying to show he can go all action after the frampton fight. It's an entertainment sport at the end of the day, if he wants big fights in the US the pitter patter safety first approach is for another fight when he needs to use those tactics. But for now he needs to get attention again.

Smith must really struggle to contain his inner beast when these kind of matchups occur.

Surprised he's not offered Froch out for a dust up on the Cobbles.

He's getting attention alright for how many left hooks he's shipped to the head .
