In todays he yet again uses it in his own bitter way.

Tyson is in the country doing his talk thing so Fronk Worron uses the NOTW to have a dig...twice

I`m sure NOTW expect him to bring some boxing insight to the column, but all we seem to get is Worren feathering his own bed or shitting in other peoples.

Boxing people know what your about Fronk Worron, and non-boxing people don`t even know who you are

Yeah, I agree, but it was the 15th floor of the Grosvenor House hotel.

I also read the FW article in the News of the World, and he says how Tyson was 'found out, & found wanting' when he fought someone prepared to stand up to him'. FW showing his bitterness again, when it comes to Tyson.

FW knows if things had turned out differently with MT, FW would have promoted him more and made great £££! That's why he's bitter!

he had a dig at lennox after he retired, i remember. i mean, the guy made 16 title defenses, unified heavyweight, bested Holyfield, had a lengthy successful career in the states - and allegedy frank wank has the gall to say that Tim Witherspoon would have probably beaten him.

A prime Tim Witherspoon was one of the best HW of the past 30 years.

On his day he could have beaten Tyson Lewis and Holyfield.

Note he never fought any of them

Tim was the biggest waste of talent in the HW division I have ever seen. The 2nd biggest waste was Riddick

It wasnt the pies, it was the coke. You know he was stoned when he fought Smith the second time. First time Tim schooled him and Tim was wired up.

I think Tim lost to Smith on the U/c of Tyson - Berbick???

Christ if we had a 26 y/o Tim Witherspoon now, we would be hailing him as the second coming of Joe Louis.

Tim was a great fighter, didnt do anything spectacularly but everything well, Jab, good footwork, terrific feints, a good left hook, good inside work, and the best overhand right of any HW.

Tim had it all.

Thing is, he's such a bad liver, he's about 48 but he looks 35. He looks so young. And he's a lovely guy. Drinks Guinness from what I remember.

coulda woulda shoulda. the thing is witherspoon, for all his skills, didn't. give lewis credit for having a long, successful career. spoon had talent and he probably deserved to beat larry holmes. that was a great fight but spoon should have thrown way more punches. he took larry's jab away but i don't know why he didn't punish him more.

Part of what makes a good fighter is mental makeup, one of the things that makes Lennox "great" for his era is that over 10 years he was pretty consistant. I know the trouble he had with Don King and respect him for standing up to him but if he couldn't stay away from the coke and only came into the ring at 100% a couple of times then thats his own damn fault. Yes if Spoon had continued along the same lines (no pun intended) after the Holmes fight he could have been up there with the Holyfield's, Tyson's, Lewis' and Bowe's but he didn't

As others have said here, talent is only one component of what makes a great fighter, and it's not even the most important component. Fighters like Hopkins and Hagler weren't blessed with amazing natural talent, but what they did have was an incredible level of dedication to the cause, and the will to succeed.

Witherspoon might be a lovely guy and all that, but he obviously lacked that mental makeup that makes a champion.

Gotta love the 'spoon - he has spent some time over here and took Macklin over to Philly after being impressed with him.

As has been said - great talent but mentally weak. Shame cause he coulda had it all if he was more dedicated/mentally stronger.
