Of all the bars in Vegas only one was showing the Joshua fight... literally none of the bars on the strip showed it...

Must be some interest if both HBO and Showtime showed the fight. AJ doesn't need the American audience. He filled the national stadium last night and made 15mil in the process. Fury is over here and that has the potential to be even bigger than last night.

He'd have won a lot more fans after last night though as would Wlad.

Like Stuarty said Fury is in the UK and if that fight gets made its bigger than last night I reckon

Boxing is bigger in the UK anyway US need to invest in it a bit more

Selling out MSG and big nights in Vegas etc, it adds to it. It shouldn't but it does!

He could inspire a new generation of fighters in the USA perhaps, which would help the sport massively

MSG and venues like that are just prestigious aren't they

I bet there is many American fighters that would love to sell out a big stadium like Wembley though

MSG capacity 20,789, maybe you'd get more of a hardcore fanbase in there so it might matter more but I think selling out your home stadium or a stadium that holds such a huge capacity is massive

Even the T Mobile Arena Canelo-Chavez are fighting in holds something like 20k

Fighting in the great arenas of boxing are massive achievements but selling out Wembley and getting everyone and their dog interested in a fight is huge

Showtime work with Joshua because they saw the potential in him but he's not big in the US yet that's why they had his last few fights against Americans to try and build it and the reason HBO wanted it too is because they have a deal with klitschko the likelihood is if one of them never had an existing deal the other would not have even attempted to get the fight

His first fight on Showtime was vs. Breazeale in the afternoon.. It did a low average of 289,000 viewers.

His fight vs. Molina, again, due to being on the late afternoon, averaged 368,000 viewers and peaked at 390,000. The one nugget of good news: It was the biggest audience to date for a “Showtime Boxing International” telecast.

Thats an improvement, also being shown in the later afternoon.. they are not bad numbers.

I think that has changed a little to be honest. Fighting in Vegas at the MGM is a big deal but I honestly think domestic UK fighters would look at selling out Wembley as a bigger achievement now.
