Wilder vs Bellew ?
Re: Wilder vs Bellew ?
They're building-up a fight between Tony Bellew and Deandre Wilder.

Bellew isn't really after him, Bellew isn't a real heavyweight in the first place. Daffy Duck is the British Deontay Wilder, perhaps better then any opponent Wilder ever had, but still not any good.

Bellew could just want to cash out. He probably realizes that he can't beat top cruiserweights and top heavyweights.

Re: Wilder vs Bellew ?
A couple of guys trying to earn as much as they can before they get trounced by somebody near the top. Nothing much to see here.
Re: Wilder vs Bellew ?
Wilder's brother seems to be after attention...he appeared to be more into it than Deontay was.
Wasn't it him who instigated the stuff with Breazeale?

Re: Wilder vs Bellew ?
Bellew feels he can beat Wilder or Parker. He wants a heavyweight title. He's not trying to be considered the best heavyweight champion, but he wants to be one of them.

Re: Wilder vs Bellew ?
I'd have been a little bit interested in hearing Wilder and Bellew talk but all the side maggots chelping away in the background make that video unlistenable.
Re: Wilder vs Bellew ?
Wilder's garb is retro pimp, circa 1970s, sans the matching hat, replete with a good sized feather.

Parker -- unlikely, but there is some chance. Wilder -- no way. If Bellew thinks that he could beat Wilder, he is delusional.RScarf1 wrote:Bellew feels he can beat Wilder or Parker. I believe Bellew thinks he can defeat Wilder and his trainer seems to think so too.

Re: Wilder vs Bellew ?
If they do fight, Wilder stops him in 8 rounds or less after winning every round!!
Re: Wilder vs Bellew ?
Wilder will kill Bellew. So would Parker. Haye was toying with him before his leg exploded.
Re: Wilder vs Bellew ?
I hope they aren't trying to build this fight, I like Bellew as a person and as a light-heavyweight and cruiserweight he's very good, but against a natural heavyweight with power like Wilder has it would be over quickly.
Yes he beat David Haye, who's leg gave out and who had no reason to even try and carry on in that fight but against a world champion like Wilder. No. It's not a smart fight or a fight worth watching.

Well he might beat Wilder if Wilder's ankle gives out and he can't move. Maybe Bellew thinks this is a thing that happens every time now. He certainly didn't seem to think it was worth mentioning after the Haye fight.

Don't forget that it happened several times that Wilder became a cripple while fighting a junkie, or a nobody like Arreola for example.gp. wrote:northern wrote:I hope they aren't trying to build this fight, I like Bellew as a person and as a light-heavyweight and cruiserweight he's very good, but against a natural heavyweight with power like Wilder has it would be over quickly.

This is also the reason why I think Briggs for example would win against Deontay Wilder.

Re: Wilder vs Bellew ?
It looks like another joke fight that will probably end up on PPV is in the offing.
Wilder should be fighting better & established HWs by now & Bellew does not belong in the ring with a top line HW.
Bellew should either get back down to CW, where there are some cracking fights to be had, or have a PPV fights with David Haye every 9 - 12 months for the next decade to pad out their retirements funds.
