I'd expect Joshua to get better from here and Wlad not too. Don't see why it would end any differently.

Wladimir had his chance last night and couldn't finish. I don't see him being able to do more in a rematch at this stage. It would be a similar fight with the same outcome I think. He's now 0-2 in his last 2 fights and isn't getting any younger. He's now been outpointed and stopped. It's over

It's very unlikely to end the same way.

You think Wladimir would win a rematch?

He had Joshua right there and couldn't end it. Don't see what would change going forward.

He'd have a very good chance.

How often is the rematch a clone of the first match?

Loads would change.

Your "Don't see what would change going forward." comment seems very ugly to me.

Ugly? In what way is that ugly? What a bizarre comment.

The way it will end differently is much quicker and more emphatic to Joshua.

AJ is improving. Wlad is declining.
It's that simple.

What happened in the first fight to suggest that Joshua will end things much quicker in a rematch?

When he tried to finish Wlad in the 5th he knackered himself out pretty quickly.

Is Joshua's stamina really likely to improve hugely in the next 6 months or so?

I cannot believe that Klitschko could ever again get in that kind of physical and mental shape again and with that confidence. Or that Joshua would have to go through that gut check.

Joshua by mid round KO.

Don't know really. One of they fights. Anything could happen. See what Klitschko has to say when he's sat back and evaluated everything. He looked really good last night but was it a last hurrah?

This.

AJ came through his acid test already and Wlad took some serious punishment last night so I'd like to see the big man hang them up now. AJ needs to improve but he probably will given his training regime and life outside the ropes and he has a great trainer and mentor in McCracken to get the best out of him. I think he definitely needs to look at his footwork though, he looked very square at times last night and his lateral movement wasn't at the level required. The win last night will also improve AJ's confidence no end, he has proved he can get up off the floor and prevail

It is excluding floor seating; so set out right should be able to match Wembley numbers. :box:

Said in some thread on the CS that I think Wlad should take the rematch IF he feels like he can capitalise on points where he didn't in the first fight, i.e. stay on Joshua when he has him right there bumbling about wondering what on earth is going on

Thought Wlad was in career best shape tbh for last Sat, so can he get himself in that shape again? Its likely, Wlad hasn't had a career plagued with injury or too much punishment, and he has a sense he can hurt Joshua badly, he also knows that once he's got Joshua hurt badly Joshua isn't going to do much of anything! Wlad didn't know how Joshua would react going into the first fight, but he knows now, Wlad should of reacted to it in the first fight but he didn't, but perhaps knowing how that Joshua shuts down and goes to sh*t when he is hit clean he may just jump on him even if he is 41 and feeling the pace terribly. Like I say he was in career best shape in my opinion but still, being 41 even in that shape doesn't mean you aren't going to feel the pace.

On the flipside - Joshua knows it went to sh*t for him in a bad way last fight and his recovery was not very good at all for quite some time, if he is sensible he knows in his brain that if Wlad stayed on him he wouldlve been stopped himself, if he's honest and not kidding himself he knows that, so Joshua may come out like a bull in round1 and try and stop Wlad early which would happen. Joshua would probably also work on his stamina as that also looked shocking in the fight

I can't see Wlad being able to go back to the well again.

I thought he couldn't pull the trigger after Jennings and Fury. I thought he was tremendous and turned the clock back. Instead of his safety first style he took AJ to a shootout.
Seemed a bit last chance saloon for me. Mentally losing against AJ after that performance and improvement will be very hard to recover from.

He didn't say it would be a clone. He said it would end the same way. In other words, TKO to Joshua. You're just looking to argue.

Wlad could win but Joshua will be able to pace himself better and is unlikely to make the same mistakes that should have been his downfall on Saturday.

It's possible Wlad puts one on him and ends it.

One thing though... Joshua's game is pretty much what it is now. He'll improve a little here and there but this is what he is.

If there is a rematch it needs to be on the continent...the judges scores were pretty off it seemed to me.

Wlad boxes like he did on Saturday and it's a 50-50 for me. Joshua's movement and defence needs to improve.
