Chavez jr will brutalize Canelo

Post by Jip »

If he doesnt i ll make 50 push ups on 2 seperated ocassions. This is a experts Prediction and i am rarely wrong.

To big, to powerful h ll be able to take c shots but slow c wont be able to take his. Chavez knows what it feels to be punched by a 6'2 atrong lh, c all his life dealt with weak opponents either old mosley, small weak khan or feather fisted floyd. Around rd 10 all will be over.

If you can believe the press, he is taking this fight more seriously than he has in the recent past.
His weight looks to be under control, his coach is tougher than past trainers, altitude work for stamina.
Who knows? Maybe he can dethrone Canelo?

Personally, I'm at the point with Alveraz where I just want to see him properly challenged. Some say he is too well protected to take on serious contender and I lean towards that view now.
I'd love to hear others views on if he can take it to Canelo.

By the way, thanks for the non AJ post, that subject has been flogged on here like the proverbial adopted ginger kid.

Honesty mate, are you sure you're not Charlie Zelenoff minus the rage? I love your passion, but dude, think a bit before you post. And, Chavez Jnr is overated and he needs to lay a glove on Canelo first.

I've never seen Chavez Jr brutalize any world class opponent. I don't expect him to start now.

He is in the mountains with only training and training on his mind. For canelo it is a big fight, but vs mayweather was and probably always wil be his biggest fight.

For chavez it is a different situation. For him this fight is Everything!!! Escaping from the ultra huge shadow of his father, becoming julio cesar chavez jr and not "the son if chavez", the biggest fight of his life, becoming mexicos #1 overall sport superstar and of corse $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

This was more bit poetic. What has that to do with being a child listing the reasons why he is preparing like he never prepared before?

Jip this is same topic that I was trying push but nobody wanted to hear it. Chavez Jr has the chance to escape daddy's shadow and shine as Mexico's

top athlete. Canelo insulted Chavez saying he never represented Mexico and plus you have Chavez Sr instigating pushing his son. I see Canelo getting

his ass kicked they cherry picked the wrong guy.

Clearly, but I like his enthusiasm. Jip, although somewhat radical with his posts, is inoffensive.

I think the CS needs a little more positive posters.

We...well I am hoping Chavez pulls it off but I'm not confident. He doesn't seem like a rangy fighter...which would help imo. The ability to go in and out effectively, maul when he wants to. Instead his weight drained, tall wiry body will be pressing in close to a ball of precise punching muscle that is canelo, that canelo ball also knows how to move the upper body a bit so the long limbs of Chavez may flail in the wind and get caught with large punches to an already weak body up the centre. how mentally strong is Chavez? How much can he take?

I'd love it to happen but I think Canelo is just much better.

In light of last weekends fight this one is getting pushed back a bit so let's bump it up.
I hope Canelo v JCC Jr turns out to be a good fight for our Mexican friends as well as us, they now have centre stage so lets see what they deliver.
The big question is Chavez Jr isn't it ?
We all know Canelo by now and are aware of his power and his general boxing skills improvement over the last couple of years.
Chavez Jr who has participated in some entertaining fights has also been burdened by a lack of motivation, hopefully on the big stage he can up his game and spirit and make this something to remember.

I'm simply amazed to hear you say this... I dislike cowardly CanYellow... But he'll smash this big stiff Chavez out like he was hitting Amir Khan... The only reason CanYellow is fighting Chavez is the pot smoker is another punching bag... Cotto wasn't a punching bag, but fuhk man - he's a midget compared to CanYellow. They were allowed to do those kind of fights though Golovkin was the mandatory challenger -- for the same reason Cotto was allowed to do fight Geale.. Because the WBC is corrupt as Hell and issued endless "exceptions" to 3 champions so they could avoid Golovkin.

This is the fight that i circled as soon as i heard it because i think that this one is going to be a war. I predict that the fight will closely resemble Cotto/Margarito 1. I see Canelo landing dazzling combinations throughout but JCCJR will keep coming forward and he's eventually going to catch up to Canelo and we'll see how Canelo finishes that fight. I can see JR getting beaten badly early and being down huge on cards late when all the excitement will begin in the 11th and 12th.

I can see this fight going any number of ways... Won't be surprised to see Jr overpower Canelo. And I wouldn't be surprised to see Canelo outclass Jr. Should be interesting.

More importantly than Canelo's skill advantage, JCCJ already proved to be a quitter, so I expect him to quit again.

this should be a no contest. junior will be exhausted and dehydrated from climbing the ring. this fight should banned. imagine that an old champ like oscar is pissing all over the sport. Using money to talk junkies into draining themselves beyond recognition and enter the ring against his farce of a ginger chick. not only a joke, but a hazard to the health of the poor guy in need of money, risking boxing going further down the line as a fake sport in the general publics eyes.
Why doesnt oscar and ginger chick go join the wwf along with floyd. there they can have their fantasy champion fights and call themselves what ever they like, not risk the health of already ruined addicts and the please the morronic us spectators and at the same time steal their money. it would be win win for all !
