Re: Anthony Joshua v Tyson Fury date set.
Hearn said that's the absolute earliest it could happen if all goes well for Fury.
Re: Anthony Joshua v Tyson Fury date set.
I'd rather it happened later tbh. Get Fury back in shape, a wee warm up fight then get it on. It's too big a fight to rush it even if Tyson thinks he'll do him next up.

That schedule should give time for that.Stuarty30 wrote:I'd rather it happened later tbh. Get Fury back in shape, a wee warm up fight then get it on. It's too big a fight to rush it even if Tyson thinks he'll do him next up.
Re: Anthony Joshua v Tyson Fury date set.
For sure a warm up fight for Fury, maybe 2.
Wlad didn't show any rust, but that's Wlad, not Tyson.

That's not setting a date. That's saying it won't happen before April 2018.
If anything, that's a guess on the part of Hearn. Not setting a date.

Personally i'd never believe any date set for Tyson until he climbed in the ring, too many pull outs and strange excuses to believe otherwise.
Re: Anthony Joshua v Tyson Fury date set.
Have we ever had two British fighters fighting for the actual heavyweight championship before?
Re: Anthony Joshua v Tyson Fury date set.
Lewis Akindwande but think the WBO stripped him beforehand.
Lewis Bruno for the WBC prior to that.
Hide Bennt before that, lulz

I honestly doubt Fury will ever fight again.
Re: Anthony Joshua v Tyson Fury date set.
Surely too much money on the table for him not to fight Joshua.SamWise72 wrote:I honestly doubt Fury will ever fight again.

I had it in my head he beat Briggs before Akinwande.TheDarkDestroyer wrote:I meant lineal title, I remember those Lewis fights.orbtastic wrote:Lewis Akindwande but think the WBO stripped him beforehand.

No one should be discussing a Tyson Fury comeback until the outcome of his UKAD hearing on Monday is confirmed.TheDarkDestroyer wrote:Surely too much money on the table for him not to fight Joshua.SamWise72 wrote:I honestly doubt Fury will ever fight again.
If he is banned for a couple of years ( from refusing a test in Sept 2016 ) I think he is finished
It is a case of wait and see. All will be clear over the next few weeks.

Providing Joshua stays champion the money will still be there in two years.Naandrew wrote:No one should be discussing a Tyson Fury comeback until the outcome of his UKAD hearing on Monday is confirmed.TheDarkDestroyer wrote:Surely too much money on the table for him not to fight Joshua.SamWise72 wrote:I honestly doubt Fury will ever fight again.

True but then it is more time for Fury to go off the rails worse than he has done. Put on even more weight and lose it mentally.
I'm not optimistic.
I said the day he went to Euro 2016 in France on the pi55 with England fans last year I didn't think he would fight again and the events since have strengthened that opinion.
Like I said lets see what the next few weeks bring.
