Really excited for this one.
However I really do want to see Gervonta land in the UK. Hopefully he is here in the next few days.

Not from Fwank's end, it's more or less sold out, just a few cheap tickets left.forcefraser wrote:Anyone else think this fight will fall through ?

I really believe Liam Walsh will win this fight
I think Davis title win flatters him

I thought Pedroza would school him.Tommy Gunn13 wrote:I really believe Liam Walsh will win this fight![]()

So I'm staying out of predictions on this one
Re: Gervonta Davis (c) vs. Liam Walsh - May 20th 2017
One of those fights that's "all about levels"
Davis already looks minimum one level above Walsh, and that's not factoring in any improvements!!

Re: Gervonta Davis (c) vs. Liam Walsh - May 20th 2017
Walsh should of been boxing at world level at least two years ago.
I know injury scuppered a couple but there's been too many pointless fights between then and now.
Feel so sorry for the kid. Waits around for his deserved chance and when it comes its against a phenom in my opinion.
Heart says Walsh but head and wallet go with Davis by KO.
Pedraza was a good under-rated champion. Davis destroyed him.

To be honest I think Pedraza was a poor champion. He looked dire against edner cherry.PredatorHayds wrote:Walsh should of been boxing at world level at least two years ago.

I hope he arrives today, just for your sake. You've got enough on your plate with the Fury drug hearing without stressing over Davis as well.Naandrew wrote:To be honest I think Pedraza was a poor champion. Going for Davis in a clear but competitive win. He looked great against Pedraza. Has an impressive KO% but think Walsh has enough about him to go make it interesting for the full 12.

If he should have been at world level years he shouldn't get dominated here because this is world class not those past cancelled fights.PredatorHayds wrote:Walsh should of been boxing at world level at least two years ago.

Re: Gervonta Davis (c) vs. Liam Walsh - May 20th 2017
Cant wait for this one, credit to Walsh/Fwank I would've expected them to try swerve this and go for an easier route even if it meant waiting for a vacant title but it happening so fair play, Walsh has his work cut out but he's as ready as he's ever gonna be, he could've done with being more active in the last few years but hey ho, he's coming off a good solid win over Klimov who he dominated but Davis looks a special talent, I haven't seen too much of him but what I have seen has impressed me, the way he took apart Pedraza was very impressive, he gave him an absolute beating and made him look bang average and nothing like the classy southpaw he really is
As long as Davis doesn't get his head turned by money, fame etc he could go all the way in a few divisions by the looks of things, he hits like a mule and is rapid, ive always been a big fan of Walsh and he's one of the best boxers in the country IMO but Davis might be a step too far, I think Davis might trump him in every department, I don't know if Walsh has the strength to keep Davis on the outside, I think Liam will have to use a strong busy jab to keep Davis occupied if he's to have any chance of winning, lets hope Walsh can survive the early onslaught and take Davis into deeper waters
Ive seen a few people mention Davis and Lacy in the same sentence and that would be great if Walsh can take Gervonta's soul but I personally think Davis looks the bizz

Lacy never looked like much more than a carefully matched, one-dimensional limited puncher, Davis looks the real thing. Plus Walsh is no joe Calzaghe unfortunately

Re: Gervonta Davis (c) vs. Liam Walsh - May 20th 2017
Walsh knows how to use his feet and has a good jab, needs to use his height advantage though, and if it gets down and dirty I'm sure Walsh is tough enough to grit it out, I'm in the minority but I'm sure Walsh can pull this off, I think the yanks underestimate how much the Brit crowd can effect them sometimes.
Re: Gervonta Davis (c) vs. Liam Walsh - May 20th 2017
I do think people are grossly over rating Davis though.
He has one decent win against a very paper champion in Pedraza. He may become decent but let's wait and see.
This is as big a test for him I think.

To be fair Pedraza outclassed British class in Smith although Walsh is better I think the most likely result would be Tank KO.Naandrew wrote:I do think people are grossly over rating Davis though.
