A little bit of me does wonder if the reason why Wlad let Joshua off the hook was to make good on his USB prediction??

Maybe not, I personally never thought anything about Klitschko letting AJ off the hook when watching it but a lot of people did say to me they thought Wlad never went for it when he had Joshua in trouble

I suspect he appeared to let him off the hook as he did not think AJ would recover and would continue to tire until he was totally defenceless and no longer posing a danger. Take him into deeper waters and drown him.

This. Conventional tactics seem to be that if you're the superior boxer, then once your opponent is hurt you can just rack up the rounds and pick them apart slowly. When your opponent is a big puncher with questionable stamina (certainly before the fight) then why take a risk? Unfortunately, hindsight is of a small comfort now.

Apparently it was something about Ukraine winning the Eurovision.

He said after the fight it was being auctioned and if they buyer wanted to share the details with the world they could, otherwise they could keep it to themselves.

I actually posted a thread some time ago about this issue. There was something in the media (not sure if it was reliable) that Klit actually said he would get stopped in the 11th.

I put in the link of the prediction. Again not sure how true it was though.

I doubt very much there is any truth in Klit saying he would get stopped at all.

Joshua got a second wind against Whyte after looking knackered early on.

Wlad should have known that Joshua could recover.

Wlad tried to take him out, but could not land clean. Joshua was lucid and elusive at all times. Watch the replay. So he made the reasonable choice to preserve energy. Everyone is a genius with a hindsight. Had he thrown couple more punches in that round and did not stop Joshua it would be him on the ropes in the next. Sometimes you make all the right choices and still loose.

No way did he throw the fight just for his prediction. That was a sily little thing to raise some money for charity, that would've meant nothing to Wlad compared to winning. He was just overly cautious.

Glad confirmed in the post fight presser that he thought Joshua was done and the fight was his, that's why he didn't go gung-ho to finish it. He thought he could just control the rest of the fight with his experience.

It was classic Wlad and a reasonable thought process, and given another chance I'm sure he'd just jump on Joshua. Fair play to Joshua for coming back into it late on.

He didn't get poleaxed against Whyte though
