Is Kid Galahad going to do anything anytime soon?

Post by Horse »

Kid Galahad has been back from suspension for over a year now and has since fought four low level journeymen.

Surely he could get an English title fight or something?

Why would he go for an English when he was boxing for a British five years ago?

Because it's better than fighting nobodies for nothing.

Win the English title, get made mandatory for the British title, win the British title, then win the Lonsdale Belt outright whilst climbing the European and world rankings.

Simple career progression for a British fighter with talent who is currently doing nothing.

Another one who talks too much! Not heard or seen anything relating to him in a while. I think there's a show on Ch5 in Wales in the next couple of weeks but I'm not even sure if he's on the bill.

Perhaps he can fight the Warrington v Martinez winner? Even the loser would be better than sitting about idle!

Why wouldn't he? - its got to be more constructive than arm-wrestling Dominic every day.

He doesn't deserve to fight the winner or the loser.

Probably not Horse but it's not always about what you deserve in this game. I don't see where he goes tbh was just a suggestion. He proved he was above British level. After being out the ring for such a long time does he go backwards or does he push for a big opportunity?

Personally I couldn't give a fukk if I never see him again.

I'm not a fan, but I hate fighters hanging around doing nothing.

I don't see anything wrong with a fighter dropping down a level or two and building themselves back up.

It seems very strange to me how fighting for a British or English title is seen as a step down for many fighters, but fighting low level journeymen in fights worth absolutely nothing is not seen as a step down.

British title fight against Walsh if he gets past McCullough is a good fight. Even Issac Lowe is a decent test to see where he's at after the ban.

Ceylan for the European as well. There's fights there but it seems he's content sitting around and just talking about fighting! It's his career. He's already wasted enough of it with the cheating you'd think he'd be in more of a hurry.

Someone like Kid, the way he speaks, he believes his next fight should be a world title fight. What Horse mentioned would be ideal for him, but a lot of boxers now think they're entitled to a world title shot after hardly doing anything and just making noise.

He's above English level clearly. But it's true he needs to be more active and get up the rankings

Again probably the most vastly overrated fighter on the forum

He only had ONE proper fight which was against Jazza Dickens nearly 4 years ago and he was getting beat until he got second wind later in the fight and Dickens gassed.

After what has happened Jazza has every right to be suspicious of that night and feel hard done by.

I stand to be corrected but my understanding was that Galahad received a ban for use a PED and therefore I would agree that Dickens has every right to be suspicious.

IMO Galahad talks a good fight but in truth that win remains his only decent win .

Stanozolol is not a weight loss supplement it is a legit anabolic steroid.

Fair point. He's been a pro for how long? Must be 6/7 years now anyway. Dickens is a decent domestic level operator but from Galahads point of view that's nowhere near good enough after such a long time as a pro. Especially considering how he prattles on about himself!

I seen a picture of him alongside Brook the other day and he actually looked bigger than Brook! Must be on his brothers special protein shakes again :OhYes:

Me too.

I'd like to see Whyte and Ortiz blanked as well.
