WTF is going on with his world title shot?

Hasn't fought since 10th December and even that was a 'keeping busy' fight.

Still in negotiations with Anthony Dirrell last I'd heard. That's a couple months it's been going back and forth. Not sure what the fuckin hold up is! The Dirrell sisters are a pair of fuckin divas so that probably won't be helping. Dirrells mob won the purse bids a while ago as well. Strange it's taking so long to make an announcement.

I'm expecting a Hearn pre announcement announcement any day now :yay:

Something to do with Haymon bring unhappy with one of the sponsors on Smith's shorts.

Where you hear that mate? Or is that a guess?

Would like to see that fight. Prefer it to Dirrell.

Degale in July are the local rumours round here at the minute.

He has just mysteriously appeared in the latest IBF rankings despite not fighting this year. So basically the dirrell fightis off and he will be fighting degale

He'll get schooled by Degale and having Gallagher in the corner increases the likely hood.

That said I would be worried for James getting robbed on scorecards he can't allow that to be a close fight

Surely Hearn can't better the $1.6'million 60/40 the winner bid won by dirrels team though because no way smith v degale is PPV for me

Either Degale or Dirrel would be a good fight to watch, but Dirrel is probably a better career move. Smith is well known in the UK and Dirrel would help him get exposure in the USA.
It's been a long wait for a title shot though. I kinda feel for him, what with Jack moving up and Smith in a holding pattern.

It seems the WBA number 5 ranked brother Paul Smith will get another title shot before Callum!

Crazy isn't it. I think Callum is overhyped but Paul didn't earn any of his title shots and certainly doesn't deserve any more. Time to step aside and let little brother have a shot.

Who would want Callum to fight Zeuge? Rubbish fight.

Paul isn't getting in his brother's way.

Who would rather see Paul fight him than Callum fight him? All the questions about Paul have already been answered. There are still plenty to be answered by Callum.

Me.

Zeuge is not a credible world level fighter and I would much rather Callum fought someone better for a world title, like one of the Dirrell brothers.

I agree that would be a better fight for the title but that doesn't justify Paul being given another title fight. I don't agree that it's better to have two undeserving fighters meet each other rather than another, more deserving fighter getting a shot.

Callum ditching the Dirrell fight to take on Zeuge would be pathetic.
