..don't know why there's such a huge mystery surrounding the Furys..UKAD, do they have public relations people? :brick: ..What's the deal? is it so difficult to keep people informed? what we have here is zero transparency and as a result rumours and theories..

I agree, which adds to the mystery.

Yes thats true when I think more about it! FW keeps the lawyers much more busy than Fast Car does!

It took nearly 11 months to get to a hearing and now this. UKAD needs to fold and start again from scratch. The first failed test is from nearly 2 and a half years ago and people have saying ( such as Fr@nk w@rren ) that a b sample was clean !!,!

It is simply not fit for purpose
Where does UKAD get its authority from? Is it officially sanctioned by the BBBC to carry out testing? Is it legally registered with the UK government? Even if it is I don't understand why they haven't been stripped of any responsibility as they are clearly inept. What happened to the BBA, the pro boxers trade union that Barry McGuigan set up? Surely they should be asking questions (if they are still active) because UKAD's due process is painfully slow and unprofessional. And why isn't Fury's manager/promoter etc speaking out more? If it was a Matchroom fighter I'm sure the Hearns' would be mounting some sort of legal challenge to hurry the process up.

If you test positive for a PED then a ban should be effected immediately and b sample checked then a charge for the boxer forthcoming. How can it take so long ffs?
:witzend:
I don't really understand what has gone on. I come from a predominantly athletics background, and never ever hear of these things going on with UKAD. I mean if anything, they're the picture of strict and professional. In the case with the Fury's there clearly must be something else going on as well. The lack of portrayed information to the public eye or transparency I feel is making us jump to conclusions a bit.
This is what I find so bemusing! Boxing shouldn't be any different to athletics really, track and field athletes compete much more regularly than boxers fight so why the smoke and mirrors when a fighter is involved with a suspicious test? :maybe:

British Boxing Board of Control told BBC Sport he is suspended "until the matter is dealt with by Ukad".

So until UKAD sort out their shit show, Fury can't fight !

I am all for someone who takes PEDs being suspended for an appropriate amount of time but this is a piss take !

"UKAD have got a problem," said allegedly. "He's entitled to make a living. If he's done wrong then get it over with. How can this be right? Why does it drag on from 2015?"

Caught the tail end of bunce on five live before where I think he mentioned something about a board member having a conflict of interest. Anyone hear the full piece?
