Inactive fighters and rankings

Getting really fed up with fights being cancelled etc champs not fighting. I can't be bothered to even explain further but .. question I have is.how can inactive fighters retain their rankings unless genuinely injured ? You have hungry fighters who want to progress and fight regular and then you have fighters who are calling out.others and not fighting.. and others pulling out of fights.. so if fighters are not fighting regular .over a certain period of time why are they not losing their rankings or moving down the rankings? Fighters who haven't fought in over.a year should be removed from.the.rankings or something enforced to make fighters fight or lose their ranking whereby they have to work their way.back up. I understand at.the very.top world championship fights take a while to schedule but domestic.british commonwealth.european belts should be held and defended.regularly.

Fighters who don't fight in 1 year generally ARE removed from the rankings. Usually 1 year to the day is the cut off point, if you don't have a fight scheduled at that time you're out of the rankings until you come back and re-establish yourself.

At least that's the way it works on most rankings systems that are worthy of anybody's attention.

The Title organizations I'm sure have inactive guys ranked. Hell they've had retired guys, and dead guys ranked before.
