Tyrone is only 6'2 and is a comparative midget to the elite in the division. He's also 31. There isn't really a great deal of value in it.

Got to be honest, I'm not the most knowledgeable of boxing fans and the sport is relatively new too me in terms of keeping my eye on it and watching the fights anytime I can; but this post stinks to high heaven? if Tony Bellew destroyed Haye then I'll give up watching now.

Then bring it on? Tyrone won't lose, and beltholders, including every ranked person knows that, so simply refuse to fight him.Dixonian wrote:Different sport buddy. are you really suggesting major heavyweight fighters are avoiding an 8 fight novice?

Btw, I actually think Spong looks OK but he hasn't fought anybody of any worth and until he does, he's irrelevant. Nobody's refusing to fight him, they've never heard of him.Dixonian wrote:asdfjkl wrote:Then bring it on? That's exactly what I'm saying, he can't find anyone who dares to fight him, especially after David Gogishvili, only Hugo Leon made that mistake.Dixonian wrote:Btw, I actually think Spong looks OK but he hasn't fought anybody of any worth and until he does, he's irrelevant. Surprisingly I just noticed Spong is going to fight 26 may, I didn't see this fight scheduled 2 days ago and there's a fair chance the fight won't happen anyway, just like on several other occasions where he got scheduled on short notice. On the same undercard guys like Zhilei Zhang and Mike Balogun (who would both be far more logical fights) avoid him.

Where did he say that?

Nobody in history has ever enjoyed a school dance. Nobody.Syntax Error wrote:Spot on.Oiky wrote:More sh*t talk from Haye just to keep his name out there
David is being all nicey nicey now.
He's like an unpopular kid that hasn't been invited to the school dance & he's outside with his face pressed against the window watching all the others enjoying themselves.
Haye is a busted flush now & the only way he can unbust his flush is to get back, fight regularly & take on 'real' opponents & look good whilst doing so.

At least say Rico Verhoeven or something, someone who's actually tall, muscled, 270 pounds and doesn't have much fat...Dixonian wrote:Different sport buddy. *edit: I now see that the day after the fight, Tyrone is scheduled to fight again! In a different country! This shows all over again what he thinks of his current opponents, he really accepts every challenge.
He doesn't even mentions these fights on his instagram or twitter, he probably feels ashamed that he needs to prove himself at this level at all.

I think you're right. He is so injury prone now. He got people interested by blowing out two mugs.... everyone (including himself) thought he was going to batter Bellend.... then get a shot at Joshua for a huge payday win or lose. But the plan went wrong and now the road back is tricky and I think Haye is struggling financially... divorce, high standard of living.....Oiky wrote:I agreeSyntax Error wrote:Spot on.Oiky wrote:More sh*t talk from Haye just to keep his name out there

But he can't take on anyone properly as he cannot handle training camps
I think deep down he knows this, so god knows how much more of his sh*t we'll have to listen too to compensate for it
In boxing and especially heavyweights you are only one big win from being back in the mix but in this case - who?
If Haye can get one decent win he can get a huge payday against Joshua.... but who??!
There aren't many names out there.
If I were his management I would try to get a fight against comebacking Tyson Fury, if Fury would accept. It's an easy sell, despite the two cancellations....
E.g. (Adopt American accept and cringe): '2 warriors on the comeback path.... 1 more chance.... one winner.... one prize.... Who will grasp the opportunity!?"

Although I agree - Fury will never entertain any situation which he thought would aid Haye's career.boxingknockout wrote:I think you're right. He is so injury prone now.
