Tyson's innocence in the rape case.

Whether medical professionals agree with me or not, I consider Mike Tyson to be a sociopath. However, my suspicion about Desiree Washington, is that she had consensual sex with him, and then cried rape after the fact. And if anyone thinks that's just the opinion of a totally sexist male, then all I can say is, you should have heard what some of my female African-American co-workers were saying about Washington during the trial.

I can't believe some of the arguments people are using to defend Tyson. Listen we are all lads on here but some of you really worry me with your attitudes to women. If you were at a party a women is so drunk she can't stand up and can't really talk but earlier she said she likes you and wanted to sleep with you. She's half dressed and laying on a bed but is really pissed, would you have sex with her? If any of you say yes or even think about it then I can understand why you are defending Tyson.

The first post was not my material but someone else's which I had copied and pasted here but I still agree with what he said. With that now out of the way I will go to your question, I havent got a sister, if I had of course I wouldnt let her date him- But that does has nothing to do with Tyson's rape case. Tyson was found guilty over so much controversy that even the most extreme Tyson hater has to admitt the facts e.g Washington had liked 3 times previously, No bruising found etc.

These arguements are facts which are stated in this book and I recommend people here read it. Why do people have to jump to pittiful conclusions Its always 'You are defending Tyson, that means you are as bad as him' or 'Why are you defending a Convicted 'Rapist? Thats what Im getting here, just because I am defending him doesnt mean I believe women should be treated like shit. You are talking things ALL out of proportion here.

People are a bit quick for my taste here to denounce every comment that casts doubt on Tyson's guilt as an "insult against women".

Every criminal accusation needs to be checked carefully in order not to sentence an innocent man, and as a consequence all doubts that existed and exist in this case warrant proper scrutiny.

Razor, firstly people are not facists because they disagree with you. Secondly the fact you state you wouldn't let your sister go out with a convicted rapist but that Tyson is innocent proves my point. Because he is a sporting hero of yours that is clouding your judgement. I believe that you yourself are probably a decent person who is disgusted by rape like most of us here BUT defending Tyson based on things like " she had no bruising" is pittiful. As I said rape doesn't have to be agressive or violent. Its about consent and power.

If what Mike Tyson did was considered rape, then I am a rapist too. Washington was hanging all over him, all night on the town. Then she accompanies him back to his hotel room.....come on.......

I should have been sitting in the cell next to Mike, when I think of my old college exploits.

There was MAJOR physical evidence of rape in that case. Washington was pretty badly hurt

Sorry Decagon but that is a load of crap. Can you please state a link to prove this because the whole kangeroo trial was her word against his.

A 220 pound man like Tyson would of made bruises whilst holding down a some 105 pound Washington but nothing was found. Tyson is however stupid and should of known better for letting Don King take control of his side of the trial.

I am defending Tyson because I am still just totatly amazed on how he got convicted from what I read up on the trial. The trial/charges brought against Tyson, were extremely flawed i.e. witnesses who claimed to see Tyson/Washington kissing, were not allowed to testify. - Thats only one of the many little facts that make this case very very suspicious.

Remember when Robin Givens took the stand? Do you remember what her testimony was? That Tyson liked rough sex, and that would explain the bruising found on Washington. Here's a quote from a VERY pro-Tyson article:

The one thing that's always stayed with me is the fact that when Tyson was offered his freedom in exchange for apologizing to Washington he chose to serve out his sentence rather than "apologize for something I didn't do." Now, whether he raped her or not, or in his twisted mind he did rape her but didn't consider it rape, I have to give him credit for sticking up for his principles when he could have gotten out of jail just for saying a few simple words.

The British yob is what is poisoning this sport so Ive only stated the TRUTH.
