Tom Dallas
Re: Tom Dallas
Being a journeyman is a dangerous game, if you can't look after yourself when you step up in class you get hurt.

Re: Tom Dallas
Maybe Kevin McBride can come out of retirement and we can have a four man tournament with Belshaw, Dallas and Larry O for the inaugural Kellie Maloney former future heavyweight champions title????
Re: Tom Dallas
Knocked out again (by Adam Machaj in 2), and apparently he arrived at the venue just 20 minutes before the fight. He's going down hard and getting seriously rocked in these fights; it's not like he's a crafty journeyman who loses constantly, but avoids taking many damaging shots.
Please retire Tom, and maybe the board should have a look soon. His body is reacting horribly to punches and he can't defend himself effectively....

Re: Tom Dallas
I concur, he's 2-9 for the last six years and has lost all but one by stoppage, the situation really shouldn't be allowed to persist for too much longer...

He has no interest in fighting anymore. He can get himself into shape and I know he trains hard but ultimately when it comes down to it he just don't want it. The BBBoC need to put him out of his misery.

Re: Tom Dallas
I don't think any boxing fan enjoys seeing Dallas getting consistently knocked out.
Thought BN pleading with him to call it a day was classy from Lillis and Bunce.

Re: Tom Dallas
They rightfully took away Danny Williams license so they should do the same here
Re: Tom Dallas
Dallas is getting knocked out too much but doesn't seem really hurt, he should quit but there must be a market for heavyweight journeyman ion the UK now as the scene is exploding. maybe someone like Carl Spencer could fulfil that role better than Dallas.
Re: Tom Dallas
good luck to him, i remember price sparked him bad

You reckon ? I was thinking he'd be lucky to get 1K but I am totally guessing.ProMayhem wrote:CaptainSpacerod wrote:How much does he earn from fights like these ?

Even assuming it is 3K, after he's paid his trainer, expenses, tax etc he's probably not clearing more than 2K.
Hard life.

Glad I made you laugh mate! Price and especially Dallas should've retired before they went pro though!SAPFO wrote:Had be giggling like a little girl that did. should hope he'd be paid more getting sparked by Dubois at the Copperbox than he did getting ko'd in Bolton on Friday night...boxingknockout wrote:Wow you are one cruel bugger!wesshaw1985 wrote:Dubois should put Dallas into retirement at the Copperbox on Billy Joes undercard...
Re: Tom Dallas
at the start of his career I swore he would be world level....I cant believe how poor his career was especially the shellacking from a pathetic Charles martin and the rest of the beatings..ultimately a lack of punch, chin strength and confidence and organisation as I believe he carried on working on the building sitesforcefraser wrote:I`ve seen Dallas take one too many a shellacking already.
Even Charles Martin turned him into a stiffened mute in the first round. If they keep feeding him to people far better than him, he might regret it one day.

I don't know about fighting on Saturday - more like trying to survive more than 2 minutes is my guess.Naandrew wrote:Fighting Dave Allen on Saturday.

Tom now ranked 35th out of 39 UK heavyweights....he isn't ahead of anyone who has more than a single win.

I can never understand why someone wants to be continually starched and ironed out for a grand or two.
I understand journeymen, but they generally don't get flattened every fight they have.
