Pigford is stuck in a defensive rut but looks like he's taken Morgan's best now.

Pigford-Morgan. Good domestic fight. However if Adam Smith was commentating: "Evokes memories of Haaaaaaaaaaaaagler Hearrrrrrrrrrrrns in a warrrrrrrrr!"

At 130 Loma has Walters, Martinez, and Sosaworld ranked wrote:Well if Davis can continue to win against lesser known guys like Walsh and Tevin Farmer he's profile will continue rise. I think he beats Corrales though. But at 130 many don't have better wins Corrales and Berchelt. As good as Lomo is and hes levels better than Davis but AT 130 Davis has the better win of two.Naandrew wrote:It's a problem the other belt holders are on HBO. Right now I wouldn't pick Davis to beat them but that may change over me (except Lomassiah of course )world ranked wrote:
He's young and just won the belt is he really going to get throw in vs Lomo/Corrales/Berchelt. Liam Walsh is a good fight him at this stage and a winnable fight for Walsh.
If Davis wins he'll have Pedraza and Walsh
Even assuming a win today, I'm not so sure that Davis's 130 resume > Loma's 130 resume

Brilliant fight that.
See sky you don't need loads of money and names to create class fights.

Pigford is a like a tidier Carlos Maussa (without the sneaky left hand to the thigh)

Pigford's obviously very confident in his own chin but he's gonna find out the hard way that he cant take everyones right hands, hasn't got the speed, reflexes and head movement to carry his hands that low, he's gonna be in some fun fights though, feel for Morgan he was doing well

Christ, the two finishers looked brutal. I'm liking ze pig.
Re: Round-By-Round - Gervonta Davis (c) vs. Liam Walsh - May 20th 2017
Nobody's disputing it was a domestic level fight but the way Pigford took shots flush without even being shaken and kept his power you must think that if Pigford can just tighten his defense and get his chin down he could go to a higher level than this.boxingknockout wrote:Pigford-Morgan. Were the Mitchell Smith and boy Jones fights on before the TV show started? If so anyone know the the results?

Pigford is going to need some sort of Carl Froch level of durability if he is content to keep shipping flush right hands all night.

Funnily enough it was Morgan who looked a bit like Maussa after Hatton left him in a heap on the floor, that's not me being crass BTW I mean more to do with the way their bodies slumped after getting KO'ddookus wrote:Pigford is a like a tidier Carlos Maussa (without the sneaky left hand to the thigh)

good watch that one. got to feel sorry for morgan. looked like he will have sore hands from all the clean shots he landed on pigford and a sore jaw from that cracking left that finished the fight. game pair of lads ,wouldn't mind watching both again in the future.
