It wouldn't be a passing of the guard, Pac/Crawford is like a 400k ppv and arum can't give manny the 20 mill guarantees he was used to. Not to mention Crawford would be expecting a huge raise that wouldn't be there either.
Good point. I would imagine though Top Rank would want to get Crawford to PPV status. Somehow, Some way. Pacquiao is not going to last forever. Arguably Crawford is the best fighter on the Top Rank stable.
I think he's the best fighter in the world. No doubt TR wants the shine, I just don't see them losing 15 million bucks to get him exposure.
