Why Do Pro Boxers Constantly Look Past Keith "One Time" Thurman?

For some strange reason they see something soft, this irrational thinking will lead to their demise. Crawford & Spence calls him out like he's a easy

fight! Maybe this works to Thurman's advantage...by time they really find out how great he is they have a few rounds left to adjust Maybe it's

the smooth light skin with long hair but they are sadly mistaken. Thurman is easily Top 3 P4P and he's no cakewalk like some seem to imagine.

Keith "Once Upon A Time" Thurman has fought once a year for years. He doesn't fight enough to be underestimated. He is overlooked because people forget that he is around at all.

I like Once Upon A Time but at this rate we will be lucky to see him in 5 more fights.

Thurman doesn't really dominate his competition. People forgetting that his fight with Porter was razor-close. I had Porter winning that fight. He did beat Garcia, but he wasn't dominant. I do think someone will beat him, though. It'll likey be the Spence/Brook winner.

Thurman is awful to watch. He conned fans into thinking he was a big puncher coming to bring the action then when he hit world-title level he turned into a runner that stinks the joint out. I've not watched him Bundu and won't be watching him anytime soon.

You're doing yourself a disservice. Porter/Thurman was a damn good fight and was a FoTY candidate.

I wouldn't call him a coward. If you fight Porter then Garcia, that is top competition. (Him fighting Collazo instead of Spence was a bitch move though.) He has a good record, one of the very best at 147. Smart fighter too. Until he gets beat, he is the guy at 147. If he takes the winner of Spence vs Brook would you still call him a coward? Hopefully he takes a tune up with someone like Khan before the winner of Spence/Brook. You can almost expect to see a need for a tuneup due to his "injury".

Once Upon A Time being labeled "a coward" by a keboard warrior is pathetically laughable. Repeating it over and over again is poetic ignorance.

Technically, coward is too strong of a word but he is definitely not a risk taker or someone who cares about delivering a show. To me, until he is just another scrappy fighter like porter who does what he has to do to ink out the decision. His style isn't really pleasing to watch from a technical standpoint. He appears to be doing too much thinking in the ring and not enough, changing his game plan like 10 X in per round, and not enough clean fighting. I put him in the same bunch as Timothy Bradley, Porter, etc. Basically guys trying to scratch, claw, and maul their way to victory. Not bad fighters by any stretch put please keep them away from PPV or even HBO/Showtime.

There aren't many fighters that can say there last 2 fights match the level of opposition of Garcia and porter.
