What a sorry farce. And look how knackered Daser is at the stoppage. Johnny Nelson would hand his ass to him tomorrow.

Johnny Nelson might kill Daser....without training. He'll, even a 96 year old Jake la Motta would stop him.

Daser was dreadful. Ofolabi has really disgraced himself. I wonder how much he got in his envelope? Must have been thick with Euros

From Ola's Instagram (pureafricandna)

Seems he got paid well to fight an opponent he describes as a bum. He says he 'played the game smart', whatever that means, then signs off with a nice 'F uck you'

I can't say I have. You've retired someone comes to you with a cheque for more than 100k to take a dive. You have no ranking points to worry about, it doesn't hurt your future career. Do you turn it down?

I wouldn't, it's not like the fella hes up against is a killer. Give me the money, a final pay off and thank you very much.

Have to agree. He's explained that his life in boxing was hard, painful and he was robbed a few times. He's not been paid well and had lasting injuries. To call him a scumbag is ridiculous. I'm glad he got an easy pay day, it will be his first. Good luck Ola :TU:

Professional boxing is one of the few sports where it's not always the best who make the most money , get the titles , get the adulation !

Ola fell into that "too good but doesn't sell tickets" box and therefore had to watch as people he probably bashed up in sparring got the opportunities and rewards he rightly felt he should have been getting!

I would rather he hadn't gone out like he did, but he is right, boxing didn't look after him so why should he look after boxing !

Clearly him and Marco Huck are at similar level of talent, they fought close fights 3 times ! Each time the odds were stacked against Ola.

Huck is probably worth a few million euros , whereas Ola probably had nothing in the bank! Does their financial standing reflect their qualities as a fighter ? Certainly not!

How would you feel if u went to work everyday , did exactly the same as the guy sitting next to you , but he got 300k per annum and you got 30k per annum !

I'd feel exactly how Ola felt and I'd also do anything in my power to redress the balance.

The guy threw a fight against a bum (usually I don't use the word, but I am going to make an exception) - Dasler is a known criminal as well.

If Ola has such an ego that he publicly admitted to throwing the fight then he should be pulled up on this. If he decides to cheat he should have swallowed his stupid pride and kept his trap shut.

Boxing doesn't need this sort of nonsense. I hope his purse gets frozen.

Well said. Can't believe 'fans' are actually endorsing boxers taking a dive.

His purse should absolutely be frozen. I'm sure that can and probably will be done now as a result of his message. Not the brightest crayon in the box is he?

This x2.

Ola one of my favourites and he's sold about 10% of the enormous respect I had for him for £100k ?!

I'd sell more of my own for less*...

I'm a bit stunned that he has apparently confessed this - surely he will get his purse frozen.

He didn't necessarily confess to taking a dive there, but it's heavily implied.
