Anyone think the Haye fight will be competitive?

I think it just mite be, the other guy is undefeated and hasn't come to lie down, there only common opponent rocked Haye badly, but Haye hits like a donkey. I was just thinking it may not be as easy as we all think.

apparently he gave Haye a good fight in the amateurs, though was dropped twice......

You get more allowences to recover from the big shots in the ameters with regular 8 counts and such, we could be in for a short night. On the other hand he has been 12 rounds and would be interesting to see what happens if he spends the first 6 on his bike (although apparently Haye has finaly been doing some running [on sand] in Florida).

Any of the world champs, preferably O'Neil Bell. That would be a brutal fight that could go either way (it won't last long, that's for sure

Then, if Haye wins, he should move up to heavyweight asap

In terms of his carrer I would dissagree. I would take one more fight at this level to try to get some rounds then proberbly move up

If you think like a promoter then you would also want him to move up to the heavyweight division asap, simply because there's not enough money in the cruisers

Grab the money quick before he gets KTFO by someone in cruisers

He would get far more money for fighting someone like Skelton or Williams instead of a top cruiser. Greed always comes into it.

Must admit not bothered researching his opponent too much. As said, Haye has a kick like a mule and the power to put anyone's lights out, having said that, he didn't manage to put a dent on Thompson, mainly because Thompson didn't walk onto his shots and Haye was finding it harder having to come looking for his man.

Interesting to see whether this develops into a proper fight. looking forward to it.

Never seen the Dane fight, but my prediction would be Haye KO2. I can envisage him laying on the hurt from the opening bell, and then finally bombing him out in the next.

I think the Thompson fight will prove to be the best thing that ever happened to Haye. Its better to realise you aren’t invincible early on, and then learn, than find out in a serious world title contest. Its possibly still too early to say, but I think Haye is a different fighter now than he was in the Thompson fight. He’ll keep getting better too, and the advice from Lennox, and quality sparring in Miami (Fres Oquendo) can only be a good thing.

Noticed Haye was 1/33 on Bet365....patently not worth the risk IMO. However, I wonder if a worthwhile bet on Haye fights might be to lay Haye on the exchanges. He's obviously going to be a big favourite in many of his fights, but with stamina and chin yet to convince laying him when he's massively odds on might pay up!

Haye is a tasty 8/1 rd1 and 6/1 rd2 with bet365.

That's big considering they have him at 1/10 to win by stoppage???

I think Johansen has come to fight, and Haye seems to respect him. I've got a gut feeling Johansen could cause Haye problems, I'm looking forward to the fight tonight.
As for who next, would love to see Haye fight Macarinelli or Hobson, or O'Neil Bell. Haye is very exciting and got brilliant power and speed although he seems a bit vulnerable and short on stamina.

This is my point though, I believe that won't happen again. He should have learnt a lot more by now about pacing a fight and genuine conditioning.

Haye will win quickly IMO. They really should look to make the Hobson fight after this, even though he lost to Macarinelli he proved his chin is solid so could extend Haye for a few much needed rounds. That is what he really needs at this stage.
