I've got a small bet on Thomas to win even though I would like Allen to win as he comes across a great guy.

This fight comes down to how much Allen can improve with proper training and focus. He's not looked anything special but there's no reason why he couldn't improve quite a bit. Hoping he looks good in this fight.

Thomas won't last beyond 5 IMO. He's a sparring partner.

Allen by TKO in the first half of the fight. Fancy early doors myself.

Just watched Allen's IFLTV interview with Cassius and I've got to say it's great to see someone open up like that talking about depression and his personal problems.

I think Allen's honesty and the fact he's just a normal lad will make a lot of people like him, I'm certainly one of them. I think he gets Thomas out of there early on Saturday.

115-113 Allen, woeful fight and a very tough watch, Thomas is a decent boxer, quick for a heavy, southpaw and a good shot selection , he just couldn't fight at a pace or he could've won wider as Allen never done much either apart from walking forward, Allen was poor I expected better from him as he was as in shape and focused as he'd ever been but he was very slow, plodding and there was nothing on 90% of his punches, just they pitty pat arm punches that some guys throw before they unload a belter but Allen never threw a hard shot most of the time which resulted in him standing with his head on Thomas's chest throwing slapping shots

I think with a bit more thought, Allen could've won tonight and maybe knocked out Thomas as there was times when Allen landed heavier shots Thomas seemed to react but Allen didn't press effectively enough. also Allen leaves his chin wide open on the inside, his hands are pretty much down by his side

Shame I like Allen and I wanted him to win but we seen his level tonight, wouldn't mind seeing Thomas back over to defend against another one of our Heavies

Lovely bloke Lenroy. He said he used to sleep in, and get his meals out of a dumpster, and 12 months ago was frying chicken in KFC. Hope he makes some good money & secures himself a future. It wasn't a classic, but that was a humble man achieving a dream we witnessed.

The outset that Allen is the victor and completely ignoring any evidence to the contrary. Allen is walking forward swinging and missing. Thomas on the back foot covering up and coming back with sharp combinations that are being ignored. They've been telling us since round 3 that Thomas is tired and about to die any time now.

I'll be honest I had Allen winning 115-112. I won't hide from It but reading around sounds like a bad card on my part. Especially when Froch had it similar. I thought Allen out worked him on the ropes with better shots in the second half of the fight. But I won't be rewatching the fight.

I also thought Hearn overstepped the line after the fight on IFl. At bit like his old man did with Eggington ( but not as bad )

Allen seems like a genuinely sound guy who I want to do well. But it wasn't his night.

You were obviously swayed by Froch's commentary. Not for the first time, I was left wondering if Froch was watching a different fight to me. It is easy to start doubting yourself when listening to a supposed expert talking nonsense.
