Amir Khan loses again
Another champion bumped off while the Bolton lad idles. He's really running out of options for that lucrative pension fight now.
Is Pacman his last hope? An old man who must be on the verge of being upset himself, or retiring.
What do you think Khan's plan is? I think any of the name welters knock him out ignominiously, but do any of them outside Pac make him the sort of numbers he's holding out for?

That's if Kell can fight again, he might have to knock it in the head now and I'm guessing the money would be a lot less now.TheDarkDestroyer wrote:Khan-Brook still sells.

Khans not short of a few bob. I'm sure he's set with or without Kell tbh...
Re: Amir Khan loses again
I think he'll be fine. The eye that went this time was the other one. It would be a different story had it been the same one that went. Whack another piece of titanium in there and try negotiations with Amir Khan again. Khan wouldn't have a better opportunity to win fighting Brook coming off two really bad eye injuries and two losses.Nightmare Roy wrote:That's if Kell can fight again, he might have to knock it in the head now and I'm guessing the money would be a lot less now.TheDarkDestroyer wrote:Khan-Brook still sells.
Kell would do Amir Khan though.

Can't see Khan v Brook now. Brook will be out for the rest of the year and may never return again. That eye is terrible.
Khan is one KO loss away from the end as well.
Looks like this is one of those fights that slipped away fellas![[icon_e_sad.gif] :verysad:](./images/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif)

Re: Amir Khan loses again
Not now, Brook beaten up in his last 2 fights is damaged goods now for a big PPV unless he picks up a decent win and a title before a Khan fight bit I can't see that happening now.TheDarkDestroyer wrote:Khan-Brook still sells.
If there is any doubt about his eyesight I'd rather he quit now anyway.
Re: Amir Khan loses again
This ship has sailed,it wont be as big as pre GGG imo. Tbh after last nights fight my opinion changed on who would win the fight between khan and brook, khans speed and accuracy would be too much for kell and brook would probably take a knee again after chasing shadows all nightTheDarkDestroyer wrote:Khan-Brook still sells.
Re: Amir Khan loses again
I think the Brook opportunity may have passsed now. Kell will probably go up to light-middle and Khan stay at WW

If Khan was playing hardball in negotiations when Kell was undefeated and held a world title we can only imagine what kind of derisory offer he'll make to Kell now he's got much less to bring to the table.

This. Brooks team didn't want him back at 147. They obviously feel he is having more and more problems getting there healthy. It's bound to get harder as he gets older. Brook demanded to fight at the weight to defend his title against the wishes of his team.Noxy wrote:I think the Brook opportunity may have passsed now. If he is sensible then he will now listen and move up to light middle where he could easily pick up a title IF he gets a shot.
Khan will not move up and that's that! Khan will chase one last big payday against a Spence, Thurman or Pac. I'd like to see Khan in with Porter personally but I don't see him taking that fight. He won't want to risk a defeat without the $$$$$$ at this stage.

This,Khan would take the piss now and offer peanuts, despite he himself coming off a ko loss,he will say Brook has nothing to offer and make excuses not to fight.

Why would Khan at this point not want to fight Brook?bigjack wrote:CaptainSpacerod wrote:If Khan was playing hardball in negotiations when Kell was undefeated and held a world title we can only imagine what kind of derisory offer he'll make to Kell now he's got much less to bring to the table.

Khan has fought top level fighters for better money. Brook now offers probably the best money available he'll be all over it. You're delusional if you think Khan wouldn't fight him.

Re: Amir Khan loses again
Khan could have fought for Brook's title for more money,he constantly made excuses for the fight not to happen, claimed Brook needed a big win,Brook got the win, then it was 'i'm not giving him a payday because i don't like him'.excuses after excuses, now the fight has lost it's shine so Khan will say ' Brook has nothing to offer'TheDarkDestroyer wrote:Rubbish.bigjack wrote:Because he's never wanted the fight.TheDarkDestroyer wrote:

When? All Brook has done is fight mandatories, when could Khan have fought him? Perhaps Brook shouldn't have taken the stupid GGG fight that meant literally nothing but a loss.bigjack wrote:Khan could have fought for Brook's title for more money,he constantly made excuses for the fight not to happen, claimed Brook needed a big win,Brook got the win, then it was 'i'm not giving him a payday because i don't like him'.excuses after excuses, now the fight has lost it's shine so Khan will say ' Brook has nothing to offer'TheDarkDestroyer wrote:Rubbish.bigjack wrote:

Brook beat Porter and publicly begged Khan to fight him,Khan refused by using several different excuses like i have previously mentioned, now Brook has 2 losses and no title,Khan will offer crap money knowing Brook will say shove it,it's quite simple really,Khan has avoided Brook for years and every poster on here would agree i'm sure.

Brook had to fight a mandatory after beating Porter. How could he have fought Khan?bigjack wrote:I don't know what that means?TheDarkDestroyer wrote:bigjack wrote:

And can I ask, why has Brook been so interested in Khan anyway when he's never even been a top welterweight? What's laughable is Brook is better than Khan but Khan was a much better champion than Brook. Brook fought no one and has now lost his title.
