Will be interesting to see how Browne bounces back.

I don't think the ranked guys will be queuing up to fight him.

Fighting Matthew Greer. Hope to see him stay active and maybe work his way up the WBO rankings with a possible shot at Parker in the next 12 months (providing Parker stays unbeaten of course).

Matthew Greer is 40 years young and has lost his past 9 fights.

only he knows the truth but if he honestly hasn't knowingly taken the 2 things he's been banned for i really feel for the guy.

hopefully he doesn't test positive for anything else and gets his chance at some top guys to see if he can claim some nice scalps.

Browne knocked Greer down in the first round & the referee stopped the fight when Browne knocked Greer down in the second round.

That would be a mismatch for the ages. Browne would tear him apart.

He was not cleared at court.
WBA worked out a deal with Browne before ever going to court.
http://www.worldboxingnews.net/2016/09/ ... ed-in-full
WBA didn't even lift his 6 month suspension, he had to complete that before getting his WBA ranking restored.
Not because the WBA couldn't win in court but because of the fact that they needed an opponent to fight Oquendo so they can comply with a previous court order.
WBA went easy on Browne and it bit them on the behind when he promptly failed a second drug test.

Based on recent events involving potential Oquendo opponents I think Browne still has a legitimate chance at fighting Oquendo for that WBA secondary belt despite the second failed drug test.

Perseus seems to be a bush lawyer. The court agreed that the amount of the diuretic was so small it was probably from a single matter and that it would have to be used regularly for a month to be of any effect.

Interestingly diuretics are considered as the most effective treatment for high blood pressure. They got a bad name from body builders and fighters making weight in lower divisions, not relevant in professional heavyweights.

Banned drug lists are sometimes out of touch with reality. Decathlete Alex Watson was disqualified from the Seoul Olympics on a caffeine test. It was found that the test could be failed by a regular coffee drinker.

The court didn't agree to anything, you actually have to go to court for that which they did not.
They settled beforehand which is hardly unusual.
