Errol Spence body attack video

Post by arlovski »

Did this little video to highlight Spence's superb inside work and bodypunching from the weekend.

Unsurprisingly, this was barely mentioned by 'our boys' on commentary (not sure on Showtime lot), but Spence's work downstairs was a defining factor in the fight in my opinion. Exposed Kell's lack of inside game I think sadly.

He threw two lightning quick hooks to Brook at one point too, I was amazed.

The bodywork by Spence was excellent, it certainly played a massive factor in the change of direction in the fight, that and the fact that Spence took the fight to the inside and moved onto the front foot. Brook could not live with him down the stretch.

Great video pal. Really opened my eyes to some of the technical stuff. I knew Spence was a good body puncher and was aware that he was working downstairs on Saturday but that video broke it down brilliantly.

I learnt more in those 5 minutes than from hours and hours spent listening to Sky's so called experts

Very annoying video they way it kept fading to black and it took too long to get back to the action. I lasted about 30 seconds. Shorter and much less comments and more action would have been better.

Excellent video analysis. Especially for those reviewing it without audio.

Good points.

Can be frustrating to watch a fighter hold and so it's always good to see the other guy find a way to punch out of the clinches.

Yes, very good idea to absolutely pummel the body of a guy coming down in weight, who is too big for the weight anyway.

In Japan Yukiniri Oguni battered the body mercilessly of Jonathan Guzman in a very good fight. Guzman had suffered weight problems, so test that body.

Lennox Lewis was very impressed with Spence's body work, noting that Spence really put the work in that paid off late during the hard rounds.

Watching this really emphasises that the IBF welterweight title is in good hands.

Well done to Spence, coming to Sheffield and turning the heat up on Brook.

Great video. We also witnessed quite a few low/borderline punches in that vid too.

I like the slow nature of these videos. Offers plenty of thinking room.

Brook had no inside game, no answer but to hold.

Props to Spence for punching his way out, being prepared for Kell's vice like grip.

Two excessive clinchers have been stopped, in great UK set fights, by a fighter who was able to get hands free. Other bring Wlad by Joshua.

The Ingle gym doesn't really teach inside fighting does it? Can't really think of a good inside fighter from there. They all like space to create angles.

Anyway being critical of Sky Sports' commentary probably gave them extra impetus to shut down your video.
