Michael nunn "interview" in boxing news

Post by Bricks »

Well that was good werent it? 3-4 sentence long quotes....and the rest filler....slightly disapointing not to hear more from the man himself...but still an excellent article as we got the latest updates on this enigma....his sentence of course and the circumstances of the crime were a farce....a huge injustice....he will be out in a couple of years snd i for one am starting a crowdfund than for this great champion.....

Good man. The sentence he received was way too harsh and it was a sting.

I wrote to him about 10 years ago as an article I read said that letters from fans really brightened his day.

Never got a reply :box:

Great boxer in his prime, slickster who could trade if he had to. Hope he some form of a life when he get's out after so long locked up.

I was a HUGE Nunn fan when he was coming up. Thought he was going to be the next Ray Leonard.

I was also there the night he lost to Steve Little (I think that was his name).

Loads of skill but something not quite right in the head.

And yes I am generalising but just about every bloke I've met from Iowa has been f#cked up

I always like his nickname.... Michael 'second to' Nunn...

However I do think his nickname was second to Carl 'the Truth' Williams... best nickname ever

As far as nicknames go Darryl "touch of sleep" Williamson? Is hard to beat, as is Hugh "R" Sole
