brook bailed out plain and simple, he didn't want it. he embarrassed himself, he was being paid millions to fight and he decided to stop because he was hurt. he basically tapped out like those mma pussies.
Compared to you Kell Brook is a total pussy, he never even had one single finger broken

I was in a fight once with 11 blokes, after smacking half of them unconscious I realized my orbital bone wash`t broken, so I broke it myself and carried on to knock the remaining numpties out.
That`s what real men do, none of this take a knee, talking to your tutor shite, none a this lock me in my cell, I won't lock you in your cell, you don`t know how close you are to a good hiding, a proper 16 year old good hiding..........
The above is what Paul Sykes would have done in the same position as Brook.

But as a challenger going into a champions back yard did brook really beat porter? I had porter beating him,i like brook but im a realist, brook is brilliant making someone who doesnt deserve to be in the ring with him look bad i.e dan, gavin there a few that i cant even remember they were that bad,but then gets in with an olympian like spence a killer like GGG and a tough man in carson and we see what level he is really on and it not elite,he was lucky to get the nod against porter and him and his team knew that night and thats why they were jumping around screaming like someone getting burnt alivesamwbr wrote:He beat Porter who many would say is his equal.thechump wrote:I think brook is great at dishing it out,i think he believes in his own power but when it doesnt come off he becomes unstuck, obviously he has got bottle cause he is a professional boxer and went 30 odd fights unbeaten but like i say when its an equal fight with a guy with the same skill or better he struggles, its just my opinion on him as a boxer.samwbr wrote: I find that attitude very strange. Brook earned the W over Porter in a close but clear decision, imo.thechump wrote:But as a challenger going into a champions back yard did brook really beat porter? I don't think this was a purse bid.Crease wrote:Well he made £4 million for the GGG bout, that money was Eubank's before he refused to sign it.ScottDetonator wrote:I think that Kell has cashed in on his career. The Golovkin fight was for 3-4 million and Spence 2.5-3 million. Takes his career to around 8-10 million depending on what you source you read.
As for the Spence fight, all IBF Mandatory challenges are 75/25 split to the Champ, so I'd daresay that he made more than £2.5 mill.
Re: Is it unfair to say Brook quit ?
Even so, with the PPV he probably made a couple of million quid. Add that to the Golovkin money & other purses & he's made around 10 million although he'll only have taken home around a third of that after everyone (including the taxman) took their cut.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:I don't think this was a purse bid.Crease wrote:Well he made £4 million for the GGG bout, that money was Eubank's before he refused to sign it.ScottDetonator wrote:I think that Kell has cashed in on his career. I think hell have a couple more fights. I don't think he can do too much at 154. I like Brook but was never 100% sold on him & he'll be up against some big blokes at LM. And they will be targeting his eyes with their superior reach.
Re: Is it unfair to say Brook quit ?
I think they might prefer targeting his body.Taansend wrote:Even so, with the PPV he probably made a couple of million quid. I'm sure he made plenty and I know Spence wanted the fight badly. I just imagine it was closer to 65/35, but I don't know.

Actually, if he moved up to Middle I'd give him a 50/50 chance against Billy Joe Saunders.
Which gives me an idea for a poll

The rate that BJS fights he should be. My dads mum was a Tinker (Irish Gypsy) and they are the Cubans of the UK
Sorry, that's a bit of a generalisation but there is a core of indiscipline among UK Gypsy boxers that also seems to curse Cubans in America.

Hughie Fury
Tyson Fury's dad
That Gypsy fella that attacked the ref about 25 years back.
Half the other Traveller fighters in the UK.
I know a lot of UK/Irish Gypsys. They're people I love, but they wing it. It's not a Anthony Joshua planned out/do the right thing way of life.
It's live today & see what happens tomorrow kind of life - which is what I've done for the last 35 years
Hasn't worked out too badly for me either although I'll be fucked once I'm older

Oh Tanz, I have soooo many stories I could tell you about me buying dodgy E's back in the mid 90's from the Gypo's. I also got a load of fake notes as well. you was saying that no one could imagine who terribly hurt brook was and how we should all give each other big shiny medals just for competing and not mention any of the embarrassing stuff in case someones feelings get hurt.CharlesListon wrote:Yes Veriton,

What a prick.
i was saying ive had a similar injury so perhaps i know a bit about the pain. it didnt hurt particulalry, not as much as when i had my front teeth knocked out - just like degale lost his and that boy didnt quit. mate, if you know, you know. the rest is just noise.
brook will be mortified when he watches that back, and no amount of soft soaping from snowflakes will stop him knowing what he did. sorry about that.
Re: Is it unfair to say Brook quit ?
in truth we will know just how good spence potentially is in about 18 months. if in that time spence has cleaned up at WW and GGG is still dishing it out we will know that brook was beaten by 2 absolute elite level fighters. no shame in that.
Re: Is it unfair to say Brook quit ?
Two pro's one who could punch and have the heart to carry on the other who knows when the going gets tough he doesnt get going so takes a knee and gets counted out losing the world title. These two pro's trained for 6-8 weeks having sparring session after sparring session pad work running weights to get their bodies in shape for punishment,as paying customers of boxing we are entitled to our opinion wether you like it or not. Iv never played rugby in my life does this mean i cant have an opinion in a game??? its a boxing forum and we all have opinion if you dont like someones opinion debate with them and share your opinion, doesnt mean they are keyboard pricks as u call me/us/themCharlesListon wrote:Some of you guys make me laugh. I don't see Thurmans running tactics working on Spence. Spence will use his feints and footwork to land hard body shots. If thurman was wincing and running around the ring after Collazo hit him with one body shot, he'll be absolutely sprinting around the ring once Spence catches him with one. I think Brook was a harder fight for Spence than Thurman will be. Spence can catch Thurmans looping shots on his high guard and Thurman can't take the body assault that Spence will bring.
I'd take Spence to work Pacman over to the body too.

I haven't read all 3 pages of this thread so I apologise if I'm a little late the party but....
Brook is no way a bottle job, he could have dropped the belt and swerved this fight, it sounded to me like he was being advised to do so but he would rather defend the belt than give it up.
He got well beaten in the end but no way did he bottle it
