If he fights again then I can't see him being much of a force. Seems to worried about his eyes now and you can't fight effectively worrying about injury
Re: Did Brook Disgrace Himself or Preserve Himself?
You are clearly a cross dressing prostitue who has only ever been in a boxing gym picking up Kellie Maloney to go cruising. I don't mean to offend you but that's just the way it is. By all means continue posting utter shite on boxing forums acting like you are masculine but it's just transparent that you are not.CharlesListon wrote:Neither.
You have clearly never boxed, know any boxers, been around any gyms or have an understanding of boxing to have to ask the question. I don't mean to offend you with that, but that's the way it is. By all means be an interested fan, be an armchair critic and feel that you can get answers on a forum if you like.
Anyone who answered 'disgrace' is a moron.

You can hardly call it a disgrace. He fought hard for 11 rounds.
Technically he did quit but I think he may have had good reason, only he knows how much pain he was in and how concerned he was for his health.

Can I just say I created this thread to get folks opinion because I was a bit shocked seeing Brook so harshly criticised. Perhaps my choice of options has given folk the wrong impression of my opinion.
Brook quit, but he had every right to.

On another note it actually irritates me that some people are only happy if a referee, doctor or corner pulls a fighter out. Why can't the fighter make that call? In reality he is often the best person to know.
The attitude many have that fighters have to keep fighting until they drop as if they are somewhat subhuman and only exist for people's entertainment is a bit much. That's not what you are paying 17 quid for, if you think that you are mistaken.

My point exactly
Re: Did Brook Disgrace Himself or Preserve Himself?
There should be more threads on how good the fight was.
Plenty of disappointing ones over the years.
My biggest worry isn't Brook quitting. It's that he went out like a fighter who's making his 10th or more title defense when in reality he's only defended three times, not in strong company until Spence. The way he weakened. Like a fighter at the end who gets beaten o by the young up and comer. When really he should be close to his prime.
