What would have happened if Spence Brook was in Dallas Tx?
Hey fellas, i know this might be a dumb question, but what if the Spence Brook fight was in Errols backyard in Dallas Tx? Do you think Spence would have kod him much sooner? or would the result be basically the same? I am soo proud of Errol, he is such a great and humble champion and is soo great for this sport at the perfect time. Finally boxing is making a huge comeback and im just really happy for all of us the fans!!! I think the hometown crowd willed Brook all the way to the 11th round because he was really starting to take monstrous shots starting in the 7th round. ok well its nice to meet all u guys and i hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend!!! Lets goooo Spence!!

I appreciate your exuberance over the clear resurgence of boxing this year. Hopefully the momentum will build and continue for years to come.
I really do not think that the fight being in Texas would have made much difference.

Perhaps brook would have stopped sooner. Other than that, nothing much.

Errol might have stopped him a round or 2 earlier. But I believe him when he said the hostile crowd actually motivated him.suffolkbull3 wrote:Hey fellas, i know this might be a dumb question, but what if the Spence Brook fight was in Errols backyard in Dallas Tx? I too am looking forward to seeing Spence draw live hometown fans in Dallas. What would really be great is to see him get popular enough to pack 50,000+ into Cowboy Stadium like Pacman did!!

Let's get 13,000 in Frisco first. LolBest Coast wrote:Errol might have stopped him a round or 2 earlier. Pac still might pack a stadium in Texas v Spence.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Let's get 13,000 in Frisco first. LolBest Coast wrote:Errol might have stopped him a round or 2 earlier. Pac ain't fighting Spence. Errol could fight there one day. That new practice facility in Frisco should be his next fight. I saw him downtown maybe 2 years ago and there was at least 1,500 there.Tanzio wrote:Pac still might pack a stadium in Texas v Spence.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Let's get 13,000 in Frisco first. I think it would've probably been the same fight regardless of where it took place.
Re: What would have happened if Spence Brook was in Dallas Tx?
Of course he won't. That doesn't change the fact that if he did it would still be huge in Texas.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Pac ain't fighting Spence. Errol could fight there one day. Kind of like if pigs could fly we would need far better carwashes.
Re: What would have happened if Spence Brook was in Dallas Tx?
Kell would have had a harder time building a "lead" but essentially the same thing would have happened. If it were in Big D that'd of been cool, but I'm glad it was in Sheffield. The fight did well for the town, Brook made it happen there I think it was a good choice. Atmosphere was electric, 30 thousand people top level boxing.
When Spence fights in Dallas, Frisco, anywhere round here I'll be there though.

Re: What would have happened if Spence Brook was in Dallas Tx?
Agreed. But without Pac as a foe it could take several years and world titles for Spence to get popular enough, even in Dallas. As a 3-weight world champ it wouldnt be unrealistic to expect Spence to pull in 50,000 against Canelo in a unification bout. Remember, Canelo is a year YOUNGER than Spence and figures to be around in 3-4 years just like Errol.Tanzio wrote:Pac still might pack a stadium in Texas v Spence.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Let's get 13,000 in Frisco first.
