hatton and the ibf

Post by boxerbob »

i read on fightnews.com that there will be a purse bid for hattons defence of the light-welterweight title on may 2 , the ibf no1 contender

i know hatton has the fight with collazzo on the 13th but my question is this....

will hatton be stripped of the ibf belt or has he said that he will fight the no1 contender after collazzo???

When Hatton becomes the WBA Welterweight Champion, expect something to go as he'll not be able to control all this. Also I think he'll have a certain time scale to decide if he's going to hold the WBA at 140, or the WBA at 147. Regarding the IBF, I think that could go along with Hattons WBA 140 as he's regarded number 1 there and the fights he's wanting are all in and around Welterweight. It won't be long either until Cotto moves up into the mix as well.

Does anyone know anything about Collazo, I've barely ever heard of him? How will Ricky do against him?
