Re: Ian Millarvie
I think the other Scottish heavy would beat him
Re: Ian Millarvie
He was with Tommy Giomour and refused a couple of fights and place on a PFighter. I remember him as an amateur vaguely.
Re: Ian Millarvie
another one to add to the fizzing British heavyweight mix. Surely a heavyweight prizefighter must be close.
Re: Ian Millarvie
I remember him. He was supposed to be a prospect (good amateur) then he drifted away from the sport
Re: Ian Millarvie
Didn't dance along to Don Tommys tune and was promptly sacked.Noxy wrote:I remember him. He was supposed to be a prospect (good amateur) then he drifted away from the sport

I watched this from ringside and it was utter shocking. Millarvie about 5 stone overweight, no impact on his punches. Seriously Frankie Gavin was hitting harder last night.

How did Smith get on mate?Tomasino wrote:Stuarty30 wrote:Didn't dance along to Don Tommys tune and was promptly sacked.Noxy wrote:I remember him. He was supposed to be a prospect (good amateur) then he drifted away from the sport

Went into the trenches with Pryce, had him going a few times but Pryce was game mate and looked fit. Was a good wee battle. Smithy was unmarked but Pryce took some belters. I got there at 8pm, finished at 12:10 ish, was a bit long winded. Most of the fighters on couldn't crack an egg mate so was a test of patience.Stuarty30 wrote:How did Smith get on mate?Tomasino wrote:Stuarty30 wrote:

smith won every round. Kev Macintyre was reffing. There was a tiny bit trouble at ringside but was pretty sound apart from that.
Spoke to Frankie Gavin. He was up at 10st 12. He dropped his man with a good bodyshot. The ref stepped in after a flurry in the last few seconds of the last for the stoppage. Guy deserved to last the distance
He was better as an amateur, felt bad for him as he had the talent but he's done nothing g to refine his skills. Keiren would spark him at this stage.
Re: Ian Millarvie
Can you see the smith vs Gavin fight happening ? Surely Gavin looking for one last pay day ?
How did wee Farooq look? All

He had a good tussle but was just the sharper man. Won every round. He's got a nice right hook and doubled up on his body shots well. My criticism would be he never sustained his attacks. Stepped back after landing.

I'm sure I read that Millarvie broke his ankle getting out of a taxi years ago and I think it was shortly after that he disappeared.
