It became known to BS.com/Allboxing.ru that the sanctioning body has ordered a final eliminator between 24-year-old Russian welterweight Konstantin Ponomarev (#4 IBF) and Mexico's Carlos Ocampo (#3 IBF).
The two boxers were given until June 19 to reach an agreement or the IBF will order a purse bid.
I remember Ponomarev was mena fight spence in the final eliminator last year, before Spence fought Bundu.

Not to familiar with Ocampo, so I'll lean towards Ponomarev. He already has a couple of nice wins vs prospects and this could be his third. That would make him a feasible mando IMO.

I've only seen Ocampo beat Jorge Paez Jr., but it's been so long. Haven't seen him since. I've seen more of Ponomarev who has been on a good streak last year with some very good wins under his belt.

I hope Ocampo wins, since Ponomarev already turned down the fight with Spence. (Spence had to fight Bundu instead)

ponomarev was red hot before he got injured.. didn't look as good in his last fight, I hope that was just shaking the rust off.
