Joel Diaz Jr vs Regis Prograis
This Friday on allegedly, looks a very good fight, I haven't seen too much of either guy ive seen a bit more of Diaz Jr, from what little ive seen though both seem to be heading in the right direction, both guys are unbeaten, Diaz Jr who is trained by Abel Sanchez is 23-0(19KOs) and Prograis is 19-0(16KOs)
Great to see 2 undefeated bangers face each other at this stage of their careers, neither guy have any wins of note yet but it does look a step up for both men
Think i'll go with Diaz Jr but I know there's a lot of people who rate Prograis highly, looking forward to it

Not seen either of them I don't think? I've read plenty about Prograis. Someone mentioned him on here a while back (maybe Taansend?). Good fight on paper. I'll def try and catch this the next day online unless it's on UK tv?

Yep. I like Prograis. Not sure how far he'll go but he's kind of a hands down stalker.Stuarty30 wrote:Not seen either of them I don't think? I've read plenty about Prograis. Good fight. The extra money from BT means BN are showing more small Hall UK shows and a few more obscure US shows.
I will probably put a few £ on Diaz Jr, but not a confident pick.

Easy for Prograis. Just has to watch out for Diaz left hook.

It's no longer being shown on allegedly. According to Bunce it's due to a broadcasting / licensing problem - very vague.handsofstone wrote:Its on B-Nation mate, Friday nightStuarty30 wrote:Not seen either of them I don't think? Ha, got home in time from work to see the main event. Nice bottle of white wine & some Thai chili cashews & I'm good to go
Re: Joel Diaz Jr vs Regis Prograis
Not doing a round by round tonight (as I'm drinking) but if the 1st round is anything to go by this is going to be a good fight. Evenly matched prospects who both like to be the aggressor

Re: Joel Diaz Jr vs Regis Prograis
Prograis wins in 2 putting Diaz Jr down 4 times in the round, all with the southpaw left hand, I thought there was always a chance this could finish early with both guys being bangers but my money would've been on it going passed the halfway mark at least, I thought Diaz had a decent 1st round but Prograis looked the goods in the 2nd, none of the knockdowns seemed to have Diaz badly hurt but they stunned him and the last one was the hardest, the ref never even bothered with a count, looked as if Diaz couldn't handle the power or the force of the punches
Onwards and upwards for Prograis

Re: Joel Diaz Jr vs Regis Prograis
big statement from prograis, ive just watched the fight now and as handsofstone says I thought diaz looked the better in the first round.he was landing quicker and getting through with the straight right hand but Prograis stepped it up in the second and Diaz couldnt live with the power and speed of the shots.I think he was over 3 or 4 times. Both very good fighters and theres no shame in either man losing here but Prograis really does look the goods.
