This had obviously upset Eric that it took folk a wee bit of time to reply. I read it when it was just posted and my knowledge of the guy is limited. He's before my time. I've read up on him a bit and I genuinely hope he overcomes his illness. Sounds as if he was a great ambassador for the sport. I'm gonna send the man a card. Thanks for bringing this to the attention to the boxing community Eric. The guy has fought his heart out and deserves our support.

He won't overcome his illness if he's in a hospice. I feel for Errol and his family, an extremely sad situation. But as a champion boxer he certainly utilised his god given talent, and how many people can say they did that.
