Ditching Hobson and signing with Eddie was when I started to dislike him. No loyalty :shame:
Fighters have short careers and they're the ones getting punched in the face. You go where the best money is, nobody owes anybody a living least of all a promoter.

:box:
True, but there's ways to go about it properly.
I don't know the proper or improper way or details but he's securing his family's future.

I can't dislike someone for trying to do that in this brutal sport.

You're right in principle and I don't know the details of what went on to be honest but there's always two sides to every story.

At the end of the day Hobson has a few fighters on his books who he's making money out of, Jamie's on his own

This looks in doubt now and looks likely to be early August instead.

Eddie Hearn today, "don't look like they want to know on McDonnell/Butler."

I'm not that bothered as long as Jamie is in in of the 3

Solis Rematch ( mandated but gone quiet the WBA :witzend: )

Zhakiyanov to clear the WBA mess up.

Burnett for the IBF title

All three are better fights and all three would beat Butler.

I would love the Tete fight but that won't happen the three above are realistic. Yamanaka has a fight scheduled which he might lose.

i think mcdonnell would win as well . i think early in butlers career the praise was due , the problem is he reached a level and couldn't push to the next level. still a nice tidy boxer to watch at his own level though.

I find Butler very boring to watch.

That's mostly because he fights nobodies for years at a time though.

He'd be a lot easier to watch without the BN commentators fawning over his every move. They have a strange obsession with talking Butler up, more than any other of their fighters for some reason.

His record is heavily padded with Latino nobodies

His only decent win against Hall is over three years ago now and the fight split opinions on who deserved the decision

He is a decent fighter just not shown anything to suggest he is world class.

Burnett ,who is considered the weakest champion, would stand him on his head IMO

Really wish McDonnell's career was more active and mapped out a little more clearly and decisively.

He's the UK's best and most seasoned 12-round fighter.

Hope the Solis fight is happening as the last one was gruelling and Jamie can do better against this dangerous opponent. But I really want to see him in with Hatton's WBA super champion.

Butler, a former IBF champ as was McDonnell, would be a good interval fight. Cracking domestic matchup with world level implications.

Sounds like Paul Butler is being announced as a matchroom fighter tomorrow. So hopefully this will be made fairly easy after they've both had their next fights.
