Yeah ok the boxer body-builder comparison wasn't intended to be taken quite so literally. Frank Bruno was exactly what I had in mind, he could take a good shot, certainly while he was fresh but he did tend to tire quickly, almost certainly due to that overly muscled physique, and then he became vulnerable.
His success was largely because he did have strength and power (for half the fight anyway) and also he had good basics, decent technique if somewhat stiff, good stiff jab.
It's something I do tend to go on about - just how far you can get in the sport, at least at heavyweight, if you are good at the basics.
