I hope Smith can pull it off and the WBA order the titles to unify.Stuarty30 wrote:The WBA strikes again![]()

Then Groves can smash Smith to bits inside 2 rounds again...

I just can't stomach the thought of Smith getting his mits on a world belt, even the secondary WBA snide version.wesshaw1985 wrote:I hope Smith can pull it off and the WBA order the titles to unify.Stuarty30 wrote:The WBA strikes again![]()

I'd f@cking love it, Kevin Keegan style, if Smiff wins a 'world' title without ever having beaten a decent opponent ![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Paul won't even try to make the weight, he'll probably come in around 14st and start kicking off with anyone who questions it, then still get a good hiding and claim he was robbed. I've heard he reckons he beat Groves really...

I've just quoted Keegan hoping Haye beats Bellew in one in the rematch. It wasn't me plagiarising you sir.Taansend wrote:I'd f@cking love it, Kevin Keegan style, if Smiff wins a 'world' title without ever having beaten a decent opponent

Am I right in saying this is the best chance so far, that Paul has to get a belt?
(I voted for Zeuge)

Probably. It isn't really a proper world title to be fair. It's the WBA normal(ish) proper(ish) title. Even still, I can't stick the thought of him winning a world strap. Hopefully Zeuge chins him and he retires.KiwiRider wrote:Am I right in saying this is the best chance so far, that Paul has to get a belt?

It's beyond my comprehension how he keeps getting these shots. I wouldn't even favour him to win a British title these days. Even in his 'prime' he struggled at domestic level and went life and death with Quigley and Dodson. Lost to Bendall for the English and was absolutely spanked by a green DeGale and Groves.

Re: Tyron Zeuge vs. Paul Smith - June 17th 2017
I actually think this might be a decent fight, its not a world title fight so I wont get my knickers in a twist, both guys are at different stages of their careers but both at a similar level i'd say, Smith for all the baggage and hatred he brings did actually give Abraham a tough fight in their first scrap so isn't as bad as some might think, I thought he nicked the fight TBH but it was close
Zeuge isn't anything special but he's tough, strong and aggressive, he isn't a massive KO puncher but his shots do carry weight and if he can target Smith's body then I reckon that's the way he's most likely to get him out of there, its a tall order for Smith to win a decision so he's got to break Zeuge down and use his experience and not allow Zeuge to get comfortable
I remember Zeuge getting a gift of a draw in his first fight with De Carolis recently so Smith really has to look good if he's to be in with a shout

Unfortunately, the regular strap counts as a world title I believe.. All WBA's fault.. Clev also holds the regular I believe.Stuarty30 wrote:Probably. It isn't really a proper world title to be fair. Still, IF he does win I refuse to recognise him as a legitimate world champion. He's utter dire. I hope Zeuge chins him. It'll be interesting to see how Smith does the weight.Ruthless-RKO wrote:Unfortunately, the regular strap counts as a world title I believe.. All WBA's fault.. More a reflection on how poor King Arthur is these days. Smith was bang average at best.handsofstone wrote:Smith for all the baggage and hatred he brings did actually give Abraham a tough fight in their first scrap so isn't as bad as some might think, I thought he nicked the fight TBH but it was close
If Smith beats Zeuge and Eubank beats Abraham they could meet for the title of most unpopular boxer in Britain.

Don't let things like facts get in the way - if Smith actually wins this then he is going to be even more insufferable.Stuarty30 wrote:
