Wow the odds have tightened..

McGregor was about 6/1 when the fight was announced.. now he's about 5/1.. it's even closer at some books.

He should be about 30/1

People like him is why the fight this low and plus people always will try to make themselves a reason to back the underdog first. People also love punchers and tend to overrate them.

Way too low, it's more like 200-1. I don't bet enough to make those odds worth the risk. If you have a spare 100k, that's a very solid investment.

Floyd could probably win this with David Hayes Achilles, joe Calzaghe hands, amir khans jaw, victor Ortiz heart, and Carl Frochs speed

I love McGregor but he is not a boxer

Well.. if you can will a guy to win, this might be when it happens.

Just saw McGregor down to 7/2 at some places..

At Bovada, the O/U on PPV buys is 4.99 million.. +130 it goes the distance..

I'd need 200-1 to bet on McGregor and I wouldn't stick more than a pony on it

It's insane how big of an event this complete mismatch is going to be. Fair play to those involved, I just saw on ESPN their poll had over 50,000 votes and 24% are picking McGregor. Crazy as that is, like 3% have him winning a decision. The biggest reason he doesn't even have a punchers chance is that Floyd's toughness is severely undervalued. I've seen him hurt twice, by Corley and Mosley and he was beating the shit out of them inside of a half minute. If Conor lands a hail mary, it's his ass.

If Floyd goes below -500, I may have to make an account somewhere and cash in.

Where can a US guy bet relatively safely and actually get his money back? Bonus points if there is a sign-on/first bet bonus.

They usually have a invite a friend bonus, so if you have a betting friend, ask him and split the "invite a friend bonus", make sure you create the account at your own home, otherwise they act like he's just one person with two accounts.

It opened 25-1 in the states, that was like two months ago and most every bet was on McGregor.

Vegas is manipulating is the odds. They have it way closer than it should be because: A. They have to cover the payout when Floyd wins (and a lot of people will put a lot of money on him), and B. a fight that is sold as more competitive brings more interest and people to Vegas. Everyone knows that the real odds are 100-1 at best, and those odds are only because of the most unlikely case that Floyd gets injured and can't continue. Otherwise this would be more like 300-1.

He should be 1000/1... Which is still a tiny chance for an upset if he lands that powerful left ... But for all practical purposes he doesn't have a chance in Hell.

Like I said before... This is the "Snake River Canyon Motorcycle Jump" ... a stunt where no motorcycle ever showed up, but Evel Knievel did.

Floyd is Evel Knievel... McGregor is the motorcycle who won't show -- more like a cheap rocket ship, with prop wheels attached, who will peter out quickly -- and barely make it over the edge of the canyon wall before the parachute opens prematurely and floats him gently down into shallow waters
