exactly ward was on verge of KO , Like Kovalev was on verge of KO in first fight, Kovalev got hit twice low, no count nothing, weeks just called fight , oh well...Kovalev was never going to get a fair shake and so it is..diddy wrote:On 2nd view that was a bad stoppage. Kovalev I think was exhausted and was probably gonna lose anyway but the stoppage was crap.

Re: Ward vs Kovalev 2 RBR Discussion
absolute BS
Max kellerman is a joke- Mentions him taking that huge head Shot ( and best punch of the fight)- But how does he forget that was set up by a LOW BLOW as well, just 20 seconds before, that Weeks ignored
Stoppage just shows the Fix was in.

Where's all the people talking about Kovalev was going to KO Ward?
Where y'all at. Even without Ward's stoppage, Kovalev was far from KOing Ward.

you're forgetting, the whole kovalev in trouble, and huge power shot was set up by a Low blow about 20 seconds before that Weeks ignoredexactly ward was on verge of KO , Like Kovalev was on verge of KO in first fight, Kovalev got hit twice low, no count nothing, weeks just called fight , oh well...Kovalev was never going to get a fair shake and so it is..
Re: Ward vs Kovalev 2 RBR Discussion
Punches did not look low. Kova was hurt and refused to fight. Stoppage was legit. Plus Ward was dominating already in the 7th and was ahead on the scorecards. Kova was tired as fornicate. He should admit he lost and stop complaining.
Re: Ward vs Kovalev 2 RBR Discussion
Clearly the last blow was a low blow its there in video evidence. Possibly the last three blows. A low blow before he landed the good right. So 4 unpunished low blows and a fight stoppage because of low blows is unacceptable. What a joke. Good even fight before Ward did this. What a disgrace.

Kovalev should have punched back low..
Re: Ward vs Kovalev 2 RBR Discussion
One was a clear body shot. One was boderline. One was low. WAaaaaaay prior to this even, Kovalev was slowing down due to the body work and was rocked badly by a right hand. He was bent over, not doing anything. I wanted them to let it go on so he could be stopped clean. Ward is the clear winner.Baby Face Finster wrote:Are you a fucking idiot? Hey idiot why don't you criticize the way the fight ended? Ward landed 3 clear low blows but because he is American you conveniently gloss that over. Had the roles been reversed you would probably be on here foaming at the mouth about the unfair and illegal stoppage.IKSRTFO wrote:klitoris wrote:Kovalev claimed he was gonna end Ward's career before this fight. I just saw the replay, how on earth can you not call that final one a low blow hahaha, they must have told Ward he could get away with whatever he wanted in this.

Re: Ward vs Kovalev 2 RBR Discussion
The ref should be suspended for letting so many low blows and the premature stoppage.
However, Roy is right. Kovalev should have responded with low blows as soon as Ward landed one. Maybe, he wasn't taught that by his trainers.

Re: Ward vs Kovalev 2 RBR Discussion
Kovalev looked to be incredibly tired in the preceding 2 rounds, as I noted I had Kovalev ahead but he looked exhausted and probably wouldnt win another round, which is what happened. Dont let what happened in the last round sway you from how deeply he was breathing the previous 2 rounds. He was actually turning his back trying to get a breather.
Re: Ward vs Kovalev 2 RBR Discussion
The fight was lost once it was delivered to Vegas. I don't think Kovalev even cares, now, probably happy it's over since he was so winded.
Re: Ward vs Kovalev 2 RBR Discussion
Even if you think the punches wernt low (impossible) how do you stop a guy who is moderately hurt to the body when he's still standing?!

Ward is a winner by illegal punches and a biased or corrupt ref.armageto wrote:One was a clear body shot. One was boderline. One was low. Now, I would like to see Ward against Beterbiev !!!!
Re: Ward vs Kovalev 2 RBR Discussion
That's gotta be one of the weirdest stoppages I've seen.
Re: Ward vs Kovalev 2 RBR Discussion
Most people were right, that Ward is a dirty disgraceful fighter.SFW wrote:The fluffers were wrong again, so brace yourselves because it's going to be like 3 dozen ladies on the rag in here for a long time.
