Wtf the previous shots were low too.

What an idiot you are. Even if it was the only 1, you don't wave a guy off who just winced from a shot to the bollocks. Idiot.

Other shots weren't low tough guy. I do agree that he should have at least got a standing 8, or they reset from the low blow. However, Kovalev was spent, bottom line.

Go be tough with the 12 year olds down the block now Ricky....

You want to give a guy who just got punched square in the nuts a standing 8?

Stop watching boxing.

They stopped the broadcast too quickly here in Russia, so I couldn't catch the interviews, but to me, Kovalev looked like he agreed with the stoppage.

Right. Because a post like "Haaaaaaa. Let's see idiots complain now." Surely makes it sound unbias. Just be honest. You scored the close rounds for Ward. No big ass deal.

What was your card? I gather most range from 4-3 Ward to 4-3 Kovalev. In all honesty, I get sick of some of these idiots complaining about every US or black fighter, they know who they are. So no matter who won, I was a winner. Happy if Kovalev won for more excitement in the division or happy if Ward won so these idiots could shut the Hell up. Unfortunately, they still think Kovalev would have stormed back, dead tired, to secure a KO.

Case in point, I wanted Wlad to beat Joshua. Yet I still picked Joshua to win. Just because I root for one guy, doesn't mean I think he will win. Or not give him his props after a win.

Only one punch looked low to me. I wanted them to let it continue, but Kovalev was crouched over, leaning on the ropes, not doing much of anything. How was he done fool? Had Weeks followed proper protocol he would have deducted a point from Ward and then given Kovalev 5 minutes to recuperate? But he didn't do any of that, he simply stopped the fight. He didn't even give Kovalev a standing 8 count. Total bias/corrupt officiating. Weeks should never get another assignment.

As for Max Kellerman, FVCK YOU, you biased poop.
So, Kovalev didn't look exhausted to you? Kovalev didn't look spent? Kovalev is known for big second half of fights and not fading? Give me a break. He was out done tonight. The last punch WAS low. The other two weren't. Most of the "low blows" were just Kovalev complaining about nothing. Replays even show most of them to be legal of border beltline, which he had his belly button covered by the trunks, making it legal blows.

Kovalev was hurt before stoppage, his stamina is very questionable, at least. Honestly, it is very difficult to say whether there were low blows before the TKO, or borderline ones, I am not sure, definitely. Interesting, but Weeks did not allow a lot of wrestling/holding/clinching.
My score before eighth round was 4-3 for Kovalev, but he was out of gas, and there was no way for him to win.

Ward is a great boxer, but very dirty, and I will never root for him. Never !

You are so stupid. I remember you from Boxingtalk. You are just as dumb now as you were then. If you can't understand the rules of boxing then don't take part in adult conversations.
See, now you are lying because this is the first boxing forum I've ever been on. I fully understand the rules and already stated Kovalev should have gotten a standing 8, or at least a low blow recovery from that last punch. However, that would have changed NOTHING from the fight. Kovalev was spent....

I thought he was winning the fight but tiring,..So even though he was gassing I had him winning the fight up to the controversial stoppage.. and people get second winds..That was a lame ending..

His main disadvantage is that he wants to fight for dollars in the USA , he is never going to get a fair shake here against an American star, then again he wants those dollars so that is his disadvantage..

Kovalev was already in MAJOR trouble from blows, all legal, WAY before that last punch. He never went down and I'm not sure if Weeks was at an angle to see that last punch. So yes, Kovalev should have at least gotten a standing 8. If Weeks SAW it was a low blow, then yes, he should have given Kovalev a breather. I can't say if Weeks saw the punch or not. Is that hard to understand?

Kovalev wasn't getting a second wind. He was clearly on his way to losing. He was getting hurt by headshots by Ward. Is this the same guy that everyone said was going to destroy Ward.

I'd agree, aside the fact Kovalev hasn't looked great later in some fights, even in the last Ward fight. He looked worse for wear even before that last low blow. Even if given a breather, I think it's only matter of time. Not even looking at his record, but I don't think Kovalev has too many stoppages past 8?

I scored it 5-2 Kovalev, giving Ward the opening round, which also could've gone to Kovalev. 4-3 Ward is off.

To each their own sir. I could see 4-3 Kovalev, I just think 5-2 is too high. What were the official scores, if given?

Agreed! Kovalev was up on the cards but was fading fast and likely would not have made it past the 9th, even if he had been given a standing 8 count instead of the stoppage.

I disagree. Ward really dominated the second half of the first fight. Kovalev was already rocked and hurt in this one. It was competitive, only because the big first half by Kovalev.

IMO, Kovalev looked a lot better in the first fight than tonight, even excluding the knockdown.

before Low Blow, and big power shot, are you people really seeing Andre coming on in the fight? He'd looked gassed and slow since the 5th
